In this video, I'll be taking a look at some of the key differences between Helldivers 1 and Helldivers 2. They each offer unique features and improvements.

Helldivers 1, released in 2015, introduced players to the intense combat of Super Earth's elite soldiers. The game focused on tactical gameplay, friendly fire, and challenging difficulty levels. Helldivers 2, released in 2024, builds upon the foundation of the first game with updated graphics, new weapons, and enhanced cooperative gameplay mechanics.

Join me as we compare the gameplay, visuals, weapons, enemies, and overall experience of Helldivers 1 and Helldivers 2.

If you enjoy cooperative shooters with a mix of strategy and chaos, Helldivers 1 and 2 are definitely worth checking out. Which game do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below!

Devs pretty much admitted that the next objective is gonna “mutate” the bugs, we ain’t safe yet. 😂

Another BIG difference was that in HD1 you had unlimited reinforces, but the stratagem had individual cooldowns for each player. the only way you failed is if everyone was dead at the same time. And there was no timer, you always had access to your stratagems.

The whole "I almost called them the N word... But I can say that" bit killed me, instant sub.

I know and am glad that Helldivers 1 can be played offline with friends and stuff since it supports local play. Wish Helldivers 2 becomes that in it's end-of-service plans.

I miss cyborgs. I also hate that in the second game you are chained to your anti-tank weapon, you simply have no other way of dealing with armored enemies. In the first game Railcannon had 15 second cooldown and you could bring 4 of them at a time. In the second game sweet liberty help you it you ever lose your support weapon.

Helldivers 1 was one of my favorite games, But all my friends just up and dropped it damn near the same week and it just didn't feel good playing alone. I miss my spinny cape dance....

What i really liked about the enemies in the first game is every faction has a gimmicky way to fight. Dont believe me? Cyborgs. There all about controlling where you go. Hulks fire in a cone making a wall to block you. Tanks have big aoe damage so stay away from enemies but MOSTLY WALLS you will get caught by the aoe every time near walls. Warlords force you to go counter clockwise because of how they shoot in a sweeping motion. Bugs. Basically a dps check. Brood comanders will turn into heat seaking missles if you dont end them fast enough. Behemoths are Basically shields for the impalers. so got to quickly get rid of them before to many impalers show up. Illuminate. Mental warfare. I think thats all i need to say lol. Hope the devs expand on this in HD2.
  • Love when the algorithm recommends me new underrated chanel with no subs man keep it up 👍🏻 amazing vid . New sub here
  • @seanm7002
Love this vid - love the music too
  • Another large difference is that your sidearm and grenades used to be a perk! So you had to give up something like faster stratagems or ignoring movement effects just to get incendiary bombs or a revolver
