Band 9.0 IELTS Practice Speaking Exam

Wrote my test 2 weeks ago and scored a band 9 in speaking. Your tips helped me so much. The most important speaking tip is to speak naturally, resist the urge to use elaborate words in a bid to impress the examiner. Plus it's okay to repeat words sometimes. Once, I caught myself about to use the word "efficient" for maybe the third time in the test. I hesitated for a bit, scanning my head for a synonym. None came fast enough, so I blurted out "efficient" again. Didn't impact my score one bit. Pretend you are having a meaningful conversation with an older, wiser friend; your ideas will flow naturally and your choice of words will not sound forced. Goodluck.

This is the first time I watched an IELTS video with full concentration without being bored even a single second. This girl is really attractive in terms of her most natural conversation and fluency. I loved her grace and how confident she was! I always used to think that these exams should be very formal,but actually It's all about how 'natural' you are. And yes lastly,the examiner is such a great and understanding person! The girl surely deserves a band 9. Loved it ❤❤🎉🎉

This lady speaks so naturally, no use of high sounding words. Her vocabulary is very friendly and i feel relax watching her. Others just put fear in me
