  • Two cars that couldn't be much more different and yet they are incredibly well matched on this circuit. What a fun race to watch.

OMG, This is exactly how I remembered Mini vs Mustang back in the 60's. A high school friend and I would drive to the track in Thompson Connecticut from north of Boston to watch the sports car races: bugeyes, Alfas, Jags, unlimiteds, etc., and the sedans... We would sit on a hill overlooking the hairpin at the end of the back straight that lead uphill to the start/finish. Perhaps halfway down the back straight the mustang(s) would pull out from a pack of Mini's only to be swallowed up by them at the hairpin, then all of them would charge uphill and disappear only to do it again on the next lap. Great stuff.

Phenominal bit of racing between the blue Mini and Mustang. Well done, guys!

Aussies are different! In the positive way. That's some of the funniest racing I've ever seen!

when your mom tells you to take your little sibling along.

Mini's are just like go-karts, they may have a tiny engine, but they only weigh as much as a sack of potatoes. Mustangs are great but they probably weigh 3 times as much as a mini lol No hate either way, i'd happily have both cars =D

Fun race! A really good example of how horsepower doesn't mean everything. The Minis obviously went throught the corners with much more ability. Okay, a Mustand won it, but still.. I used to like Corvairs, and I found out that the late model Corvair- after having a new suspension designed for it, and a very sweet one at that- would routinely beat 'Vettes and Mustangs in races- if those races were about cornering. Laguna Seca, that kind of thing.
  • who the f*** got the idea to join this 2 cars in a race ??? Very clever.... can i have this instead of formula 1 pls ? 🦄
  • @5150MT
I've had mini's and at the moment I own a GT Mustang - thinking about going back to a mini again because they are so much fun around the country roads. Don't get me wrong I love the mustang and I wish I could have both.
  • wow, what a race. David "v"s Golioth, brilliant to watch. Had a 1275 cooper s in the sixties, wish I still had it.
  • That was one of the cooler things I've watched in a long time. Was rooting for the Mustangs of course but those Minis are no joke. Looks like they don't have to ever actually brake for corners at all lol.
  • @Mrtrc33
I know it was a fun race . but the yank tank. had to use all of the track . the f1 boys can't do that anymore . respect to the mighty mini 👍🇬🇧
  • must give some credit to mini because the ability to compete with bigger engine car. thumbs up from me.
  • @302hobronco
Funny to see the size comparison but a great example of handling vs horsepower. Well done gentlemen.
  • @WhinedUp2004
Quite possibly the best thing I have ever watched

The mini has the advantage all day long, because they are lightweight and handle better than the heavy mustangs, engine size does not matter, it is all about the skill set of the driver and the agility of the car. This is why the mini and Escort could always put great races against bigger engined rivals. đź‘Ťgreat video one of the best I have seen on you tube Thanks for sharing
  • The minis just sail through the corners & the mustangs come into their own on the straights. Whoever thought of Mini v Mustang racing got it spot-on đź‘Ś
