  • I have a headcanon that Cynthia runs a website where she rates different ice cream flavors, but it’s anonymous to keep her image as champion intact.
  • @MrGamer1992
My personal headcanon is the reason how Leon became champion was because he always gets lost in the wild areas and thus seems to endlessly fight every wild encounter he came across until he was rescued. This is such a regular occurrence that his Pokemon became strong enough for him to become Champion
  • Kay here’s a personal one I’m proud of. Pikachu doesn’t wanna evolve into raichu, because in journeys we see that evolving is what caused him to leave the Kangaskhan he was raised by as a Pichu Behind, he didn’t wanna loose ash too!
  • @curlyfries5464
My headcanon is that N canonically gets Zekrom. Zekrom is the pokemon of ideals, and his idea of a world was definitely his ideal world, Ignoring Ghetsis' plans at least.
  • Deoxyxs is the battle able version of Pokerus. It’s dex entry says it’s a mutated virus, and pokerus is a virus.
  • @battensag7168
You never actually catch Arceus in pla, he just gives you "a piece of himself"
  • @helixhero7891
I always thought audino was blind and relied on sound, the empty eyes and the emphasis on hearing and ears, plus the name sounding like audio led me to believe this and I still like to think that it’s true
  • @globingoblin
I headcanon that, in games where Pokémon speak, they have accents from whatever language their names are based on. The Deinos line is German, the legendary birds are Spanish, etc.
  • @shorhex
Another headcanon but hop is the kind of person that would send you multiple death threats in multiple alt accounts if you said anything bad about his brother
  • @CraftingMenace
It's basically cannon at this point, but it's basically just that the God like legendaries that aren't cannon species aren't actually captured technically. They could break out and leave at any time they wish, they just think the player has earned their help for a bit. And by a bit, I mean the trainers whole life. After all, one humans lifespan is basically spending an hour at a friend's house to an eternal being.
  • My headcanon is that Ash is the narrator of the anime and is unreliable, and has grown fond of tall tales in his adult years. It explains Pikachu beating Rock types and such.
  • @crazyninja1351
My headcannon is that mystery dungeon takes place in the main universe and if a trainer is experienced enough, they can understand what Pokémon are saying
  • @shorhex
My headcanon is that piers adopts any zigzagzoon he sees
  • @SentaiYamaneko
I remember reading something about how Pokeballs were invented because of one specific Pokemon: Primeape. It was just too dangerous to try to train one without them.
  • @SalamiMilk
A crazy headcannon of mine is that the reason Porygon Z becomes crazy is because he's the only creature that realizes he's in a video game. That Dubious Disc that makes him evolve is code from the game's cartridge, and since Porygon is a computer Pokemon, he becomes self aware, but realizes he has no power since he isn't a protagonist. Edit: Now looking back at what I said, it sounds like Porygon Z is the Spampton or Jevil of the Pokemon world. Unable to change fate, because fate is in control of the player. Porygon Z is nothing more but some bits of code to help the player in their journey.

My main headcanon is that Ns ability to hear pokemons inner thoughts is just a form of psychic ability I haven't seen it specifically stated anywhere
  • @neonbat666
Since the games confirm that humans evolved/descended from Pokémon, my headcanon is that some people have higher levels of poké DNA than others. It could explain things like why Sada and Iono from S&V have sharp teeth/fangs, why N from B&W can completely understand Pokémon, or why Sabrina from the anime has straight up psychic powers. But I also headcanon that it works the other way: some Pokémon having more 'advanced' DNA making it possible for them to use human speech. Like Team Rocket's Meowth for example, or certain Pokémon from the various movies (Lucario, Zorua, Shaymin, etc)

Headcanon: The Pokédex is actually doing all the data collecting when you catch the Pokémon, none of it is done by the trainer. It likely either searches up legends of it, finds videos of the Pokémon in the wild, collects data from the pokemon itself. All of the Pokédex entries are either legends, behavioural habits, or facts. The magcargo and lantern dex entries are correct, it’s just that everything in the Pokémon universe has a ridiculously high durability. It’s also why multiple professors keep sending off trainers, it’s to improve the Pokédex’s accuracy by getting more samples.

One of my favorite theories and one that is ABSOLUTELY a HC is the one about the Regi Trio being Nuclear Bomb victims. There's a lot backing it up and its one of the more morbid theories that is actually plausible.
