Glenwood Springs, Colorado | RV America Y'all

This week we take you along as we visit beautiful, historic Glenwood Springs, Colorado!

Glenwood Springs is a charming mountain town just west of the incredible Glenwood Canyon Highway Scenic Drive that we featured last week. If you missed that video, you can watch it here:    • Glenwood Canyon Colorado I-70 Scenic ...   .

In this video we'll share things to do in Glenwood Springs CO and our experience with the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, the Doc Holliday Collection Museum, Daily Bread Restaurant and the Sopris Alpaca Farm. We also wander the streets of historic downtown Glenwood Springs, walk the Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge for a bird's eye view of the Colorado River and the historic and HUGE Glenwood Hot Springs Pool.

And guess, what? Amtrak still stops in Glenwood Springs, Colorado! We'll see an Amtrak passenger train arrive at the Glenwood Springs train station.

Our basecamp for this visit was the Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA in nearby Silt, Colorado.

🤠 Thanks For Watching!

We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.

We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.

In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).

Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.

Safe Travels and Happy Camping!

You two RV Texan's are so smart to realize you need a forever paid-for parking space. Without one, you're just dust in the wind.

Our son was the lead engineer on that bridge when built. He lives in New castle close to silt.

Me and my wife did the Amtrak trip through there. We left from Denver international airport. We took the city train to Union station in Denver. Spent the night in the hotel. In the morning we got the train from Denver to Grand Junction. From there walked to a hotel. We walked back to the station in the morning and took the East bound train back to Denver. That route is known as Amtrak's most beautiful scenery route in America we did it in February.
  • You guys are making me homesick for that Colorado blue sky! Lots to see there including south of Glenwood to Marble and Aspen. Looking forward to Fruita and CO. NAT Monument. Happy Anniversary!🎉

Talk about great timing! We have a few nights booked at that KOA on the river, in the middle of October, as we make our way back to Texas from a summer in Yellowstone. Thanks for providing so much useful information we will use during our stay.

Thanks for the video. I passed through Glenwood Springs in July this year but didn't spend much time there. I will stop next time.

We took Amtrak from Illinois to Glenwood Springs back several years ago and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Me and my two little girls have taken Amtrak’s California Zepher from New York to CA several times. When we went along the Colorado river people on boats were mooning the train. It was a great trip but didn’t enjoy the long tunnel through the mountains. (The train from NY to Chicago was the Empire Builder)
