Her Majesty has been my monarch since I was born - which is a very long time ago, alas. I know she has a life of privilege but how she has served - and continues to serve us all - in exchange for it. She could have stepped-down in favour of her son decades ago, still enjoying that lifestyle but her family's abdication history has empowered her to continue her extraordinary service.
