    O word related idioms that I learnt today - 1. On the spur of the moment - to act impulsively without thinking 2. On tiptoe - greatly excited 3. Open Pandora 's box - a source of great troubles and problems 4. Out of the woods - to have passed a dangerous phase successfully 5. On the rocks - likely to fail 6. Over head and ears/ out and out / head over heels / madly in love - completely 7. Off and on - periodically, irregularly 8. On shank's made - on foot 9. On thin ice - in a precarious or risky situation 10. Out of print - a book no longer available from the publisher 11. Once and for all - now and for the last time; finally 12. Out of date : old fashioned 13. On the bum - to live wandering life Bum - nomads , vagabond 14. On the button - precisely 15. Of no avail - useless 16. Of his own accord - voluntarily 17. On good terms - friendly, amiable, gregarius 18. One track mind/ bee the bonnet - always thinking of only one thing 19. On the double - at a fast pace 20. Over one's head - beyond one's capability to understand something 21. Odds and ends - mixture of different things 22. Over egg the pudding - to try so hard to improve something that you spoil it 23. On a roll - prolonged spell of success 40. One swallow doesn't make a summer - a single fortunate vent doesn't mean that what follows will also be good Swallow -bird 41.
