An idea: since you used to have a graveyard before moving your sims to a new save, how about you build a graveyard in this save; but make it a residential lot, and move Dory and April's ghosts there. We can pretend that their ghosts are tending to the graveyard, and that they're there to help any of their descendants spirits to peacefully cross to the other side. They'll be like the keepers of the Bell legacy

I don't want Nina to ever die, I think she could be there to help future generations and to help the heirs etc, or to just be a friend. it does sound kind of sad how everyone she meets will die, maybe Kay can make another robot so Nina can have a partner!

I do think seeing the scientist career could be super fun for cay, especially with all the extra crystals that could be used on the gemology table for gameplay benefits. however, I feel like to prevent another nina disaster, somebody in the family (or, specifically, in the household) should definitely be an engineer so they can fix nina. maybe flip the idea of them getting a spouse and have them marry an engineer? also definitely voting for cay as the heir, I feel like he just has a lot more going for them and it would be fun to see a male heir for a change again

If y’all need to know “how to get them back in the urn” lol All you have to do it shift-click the ghost, click “remove from household” They’ll autonomously re-enter their urn after a while And if you don’t want to cheat it you can click their urn and there’s an option to “send back to afterlife” or whatever it says and that’s the official way
