Jay, thank you so much for having my car on your show and for being so kind to my family and I at the filming. It was a once in a life experience that none of us will ever forget!! -John Lewin

Truth be told, that 911 is perfect. Slighty upgraded with ST flares but never going too far away from the original design. His Fuchs wheels in correct 15 inch size look great and the cars stance is perfect.

It's mad its 55 years old and just looks awesome they never age and goes like a rocket

wish Jay would feature more cars from his own collection...
  • The owner really is thrilled with jay’s reaction on what he thinks of the car. His face lights up like a Christmas tree. Nice to see. Good work on that old Porsche.

This is one of the best you have done, great car and cool guest.

I'm still using my great-grandpa's hatchet. Over all those years we've only had to replace the handle three times, and the head twice. They just don't make 'em like they used to!
  • Something about the sounds you get from an early, air-cooled 911 always makes me happy. Mechanical music of a subtle kind, not shouty.

I could listen to John Lewin talk about anything! Greatest prosecutor!

I truly appreciate Jay. I look forward to seeing him every week talk about this week’s pick and giving us a fantastic lesson on the history of the automobile. Such a wealth of information and insight. Thx again Jay.

(guy) 'Its an electric sun roof, maybe one of the first year Porsche had it...(Jay) oh no, you know I've got an electric sunroof in my 63' carrera'. Don't try and flex on Jay he is the man!

Jay is one of the last few of my generation with the love of all things automotive and the passion for everything mechanical. So many just see the beauty of automobile design from the curb. The old guys like us notice the beauty of everything from the paint job and flares. We see the beauty and thought of the old engineers in something simple like the bolt and clamp holding the ignition coil on that old original beetle.

What a beautiful car and the family history is exceptional,,,
  • Absolutely lovely car. The quality of the resto-customness of the car is fantastic! John has great taste; the car is exactly what I would want! Thanks John, Jay, and The Crew for putting this episode out! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

That's the car that got me hooked on Porsche... What a lovely automobile...

P cars from the 997.1 back to the beginning are THE absolute epitome of a true drivers car. Period.

A friend of mine who runs a channel here on YouTube named Budget Buildz pulled a '73 Porsche out of a local junkyard that was set to be scrapped and he & his dad have totally rebuilt it. I believe you Porsche guys would really enjoy seeing the transformation they've done with it! And I have to mention that he's only like 27 years old!

Imagine how nice it would have looked with those red seats and the exterior resprayed in the original midnight blue.
