  • He might not be the greatest, but his paint job looks really good.

I always preferred the leader class Bulkhead for it's bigger size and cool (if inaccurate) bonus weapons. And when it comes to figures this old, I consider that level of paint chipping to be pretty much par for the course. Its a 15 year old toy, of course its going to have seen better days.
  • I've had my Bulkhead since he was released way back when and those side panels that cover the wheels in robot mode have NEVER stayed put, so yeah it would've been nice to have them tab in some how

Just for anyone wondering the difference of a flail and mace, as far as I know. A mace is the spikey thing on the end of a stick, like WFC Megatron has. A flail is when you have that spikey thing on a chain or rope of some sort like Bulkhead and movie 1 Megatron. Took me ages to figure out, hope it’s helpful definition
  • Bulkhead is one of those figures that you have to get the one size class up to display with other toys. I had my Voyager Bulkead with my Activators for the longest time.
  • Because of animateds inconsistent scale in the show it's kinda hard to say what figures are ideal. If scale is important I'd recommend using scout class prowl and bee, deluxe Optimus and ratchet, voyager bulkhead as the main cast. I know that's not really the best when put next to secondary character autobots, but I do think it works well with the most main decepticon figures. Certainly helps the voyager lugnut out.

It may not be perfect and maybe it’s nostalgia because I actually love this thing so much. I wish it didn’t have the weird gimmick in the arm that leaves a black hinge, it just looks like an eyesore. The leader class is a lot better but it is a bit more inaccurate

I wish you would've done a double review on this one and the leader. Im interested to hear your thoughts on that one too
  • One of the few times I actually watch through the opening sequance, for that sweet TF:A opening, that is such a bop
  • This videos just unlocked a memory I didn’t even know I had. I suddenly remember playing with an incomplete version of this figure when I was a kid.

One thing I had found out by just messing with the toy, he has a second head swivel. I just noticed it because it was misaligned one day. I got a used Hasbro copy, but in good conditions and everything stays in its place. I really like this figure, because I love Bulkhead.

I have thus bulkhead (the normal hasbro version) and I have no issue with loose joints or standing him up. So i think you just go an old, chipping, QC issue bulky
  • @fishe5812
man i use to have this guy as a kid.I remember loving him so much. All the loose joint here weren't prevalent on my copy(no shit it was brand new). I remember not understanding how his hand gimmicks worked and breaking one in the process...i miss this toy
  • Man I wish there was a live-action of Bulkhead we never seen one in Transformers movies I think it's time some of the Transformers be added in the movies
  • Really neat how closely the transformation of the voyager mirrors that of the Leader class figure. Given there was a choice between the two back in the day I straight up went for the Leader class, as it worked better in scale with other characters, looked better, and had fun light and sounds and bizarre mouth movement. The hands though weren't much better as he only had one with a weak grabbing gimmick, and a spinning saw built into the other. Headmaster was also a fun inclusion which I think gave Bulkhead an alternate voice clip. Really good value for everything packed into it for the time of release.
  • I found this version on a great Japan visit, so have very fond memories of this guy
  • @TheChief177
Animated was my first transformers form of media. I'm gonna buy a figure but I don't know which is cheapest and good quality so I'm looking for suggestions
  • @flora0544
I still have mine from like 10 years ago and he still doesnt fall over. He actually stands quite solid. Might be different from toy to toy. Also i always removed the side pieces that go over the wheels, because i just hated how they looked and i still do. AND one Thing that gets a pain in the ass is the turning head plate, because it doesnt stay in place anymore and it just always stays in an unfinished state dragged down by the head
