The Barbarian Hut has been the worst building in Clash Royale for over two years straight, and despite numerous reworks, is still in an awful position. However, the hut did have some time in the spotlight, and the result of that is perhaps the reason it won't be given another chance...

    Can’t believe they made Barb Hut balanced to slightly below average 4 times and then proceeded to nerf it all 4 times. Barb Hut isn’t nearly as annoying as the other spawners and it doesn’t deserve the shit it’s gotten from the balance team. I can’t believe they think the Barbarian Hut rework was good, it was one of the worst in the game’s history. I wish they just kept it in the state it was in after the 1st health nerf, it was perfectly fine at that point and needed no more changes whatsoever

    I like how cards like the barb hut are regarded as no skill cards but cards like hog rider, valk, or inferno tower aren’t. It’s not “no skill” it’s “that card counters the only deck I know how to use!! Nerf it!!”
  • Ah yes,barbarian hut,aka the one building that can never decide where it ranks in terms of usage,except for being near the bottom at least once.

    I always had a soft spot for the barb but. I liked the concept of a super tanky spawner that was great for defense. Too bad they nerfed it’s health constantly.
  • I always thought the problem with the spawners was putting them down and forcing you to constantly spend elixir to avoid chip damage, letting the opponent build a push you can't defend or having you ignore all the chip so you're not in an elixir deficit. I think an interesting way they could go with the barb hut is making it spawn barbs at a much faster pace, but 1 by 1. This way they would not get to the tower, but force the user to capitalize on the numbers advantage without relying on the opponent's constant elixir going to stop the waves. The skill now lays on the barb player who is using a card that's useless unless you're properly supporting the barbs coming out
  • imagine if it was 7 cost, waves 7 seconds apart, 2 per wave, rocketable, spawn 1 on death, and too big to be placed behind tower BUT little to no decay (5 HP a second MAX) giving it as a niche as the single most long lasting structure card. It wouldn't be spammable if it were a big building because you would run out of space if you tried to spam it. I feel a rework like this is in line with the original card's design without ruining the meta or anything.

    The early days were something, Spawner decks were the first time I audibly groaned when I had to face them. That being said, I do like defensive options and from what you reported this card served that role really well for what it was. I don't get this shift towards hyper aggression focused games in a lot of things nowadays, if someone wants to play lame, let them. It's up the player to figure out/build a deck around that.

  • I do think that defensive buildings have a place, especially against spam cards like hog rider. It promotes well-designed pushes rather than bridge spam. Great video!

    Needs a huge buff on my opinion like 5 or 6 elixir and an evo where it spawn stronger barbs either evo or elite idk but and also spawns through mortar and hut
