This team was fun to watch. To bad the NBA robbed them from getting a ring, by rigging the WCF against the Lakers in 2002.

Greatest team to never win a ring.

"...Christie who was their worst starter" -but best defender.
  • Bibby Christie Peja CWebb Vlade Hedo Bobby Jackson Pollard ... Growing up in Sac in the early 2000 late 90s it was so split between laker fans and King fans it was a great rivalry while it lasted !

Beautiful. Wish more players would let go of their ego and play more fluidly as a team

I am a Bulls fan growing up in Sac but this was a very fun team to watch. The last two games of the 2002 Western Conference Finals are the biggest joke I have ever seen. Reason why I can't watch basketball as much anymore. It ruined my love for the sport.

I think people forget how good C-Webb was in his prime, one of the most skilled and fun big men to watch..

Turkoglu was like the weirdest player. He was a bench guy I never heard of, then all of a sudden he was good in the playoffs for Sacramento, then he disappeared again and was on every team in the NBA, then he showed up in Orlando like 10 years later and was really good again and somehow hadn't gotten any older, and his name changed from Hidayet to Hedo, and he kept getting taller every year. from 6'8" to 6'10" to 6'11" at one point. I swear he also got a nose job. None of this is a joke.

Glad this team is in NBA 2K18. The 2002 Kings that is.

I'm a Laker fan, but it's disappointing to me that they rigged the game for the Lakers to win that series. This Kings team was so much fun to watch

Boy i wish coach Daniel could've chosen a game with Peja. He was my favorite on those teams. Also, I think he's under rating Doug Christie, who was basically a better version of Matt Barnes. Perfect glue guy.
  • @blowc1612
That didn't even include their best shooter Peja!

Shame this kings team never won a ring. They rank right up there with the 98 jazz, 96 magic, 07 suns and hell even the 2016 warriors as the best teams to never win a ring. Anyways great video! I would love if you do one on my favorite team of all time, the 04 pistons. It would be interesting to analyze how their offense ran even though defense was their specialty
  • @zenmar84
Those guys play an unselfish brand of basketball. Between that kings team and the dallas maverick team that was led by dirk i always thought that sactown would be the most likely to win a championship.
  • Nice vid. Chris Webber remains easily the most misunderstood, under appreciated superstar of all time, and Vlade's dexterity was a huge part of that team's success. A fun team to watch.

I absolutely loved the way the Kings used to play! The league did some shady officiating to get the Lakers by and into the Finals. The fluid team play of the Kings is very much overlooked and forgotten now. Thanks for highlighting some excellent spacing and passing.
