I Built A $2000 LEGO Star Wars Set For Less Than $100! I've been itching to build this expense rare lego star wars set for some time now. This is only my second time chroming lego parts myself so I'm still working out the best way to do this and I accidently made a big mistake that might just ruin most of the chromed parts. All the action coming at you via lego time lapse builds!

For a display, do a coruscant landing platform from episode 2. I know you have enough LBG bricks for that! Definitely more than the dark tan for Theed
  • The starfighter looked amazing! You did get me into decaling, brick vault, and those Mimban troopers, so maybe I'll end up chroming...

Lego technically still produces chrome pieces however they seem to be under very specific circumstances these days. For instance the new Harry Potter brickheads comes with the chrome gold ring. It seems like they only produce them if they've only ever produced that part in that colour. I suspect if we ever get a new Count Dooku he will either come with a chrome silver hilt or a completely new mold.

Definitely use that sealing spray. I come from making dioramas and miniatures, so I have a little experience with DIY stuff if you ever have a question about paints or materials!

The “texture” on the chrome makes it look like it just returned from a mission

If you want a better chrome, I would recommend Molotow Liquid Chrome paint pens. Also don’t use a matte clear coat and you will get a much brighter shine.
