    Another amazing performance by USA. All their soccer matches have been fire. Into the QFs. Many times the US had real looks at making more goals, but they needed more bodies at the front to finish. So often it was only one or two girls who were able to run ahead to only to face Aussie defense. With no one really available for a finishing pass, they often had to go for bigger shots that didn't pan out. Still, they constantly applied pressure to the Aussie defenses and made sure to maintain possession for most of the match.

    The difference between the current USWNT and last year's iteration is that this team puts the ball on the goal face far more frequently. The ball can't go in if it doesn't find the goal face.

    I love how they went to finishing second in the group stage World Cup with 5 PTS, making an exit in the 16th round, all the way to finishing top with 9 PTS, not loosing or tying a single game in the group stage. Emma Hayes is pushing them a lot which I think is very good. I think we have a huge chance of winning gold!
