JULY 4, 2024: Gleaner journalist Andre Williams shares the team’s experience as blocked roads left them stranded in the community of Mountainside, St Elizabeth. They were given shelter by residents, to ride out the storm, before attempting to make their way back to Kingston. STAR reporter, Simone Morgan-Lindo, said conditions quickly deteriorated in the afternoon and they were unable to make their way out.

    Yes I know Beryl did significant damage.How many of us witnessed Hurricane Gilbert?If we overcame Gilbert,we can overcome Beryl.And let's thank God the eye didn't pass across the island.JAMAICA LAND WE LOVE!

  • All I can say God answers prayers And Jamaican people under estimate the power of prayer mostly the young people but am saying this we are bless what a mighty God 🙏 He always watches over is people only him could turn to eye of the storm and he did give thanks to the almighty the one and only protector it could be worse this morning. I hope all Jamaican this morning life up thair hands to the Lord and thank him to save us .blessings to my people God loves you all and special blessings to all the people them that send up thair prayers for our Islands Jamaica and for all the Caribbean Islands blessings all
