My biggest wish for FNAF 2 is that Markiplier is the one who gets bitten. He'll come full circle from saying, "Was that the bite of 87?" To being in the bite of 87. It's just too perfect
  • @TimeBucks
They knew that putting MatPat in the movie was the right idea

the fact movie afton is way smarter then his game counter part is a really great spin on the movie, makes his final "I always come back" line seems more understanding, sum were mad cuz it felt rushed but, if you know you’re dying but have a chance of coming back you'll be rushing too
  • Dear Matpat, I just wanted to let you know, that when I went to see the FNAF movie, the second you walked on screen the whole theater started scream-cheering, calmed down to hear you talk, and started up again when you said your famous line. there was no other time in the entire film that the theater cheered so loud. all-in-all, thank you for all that you've done with the FNAF series and how much you were able to bring people into this amazing (yet slightly terrifying) world. Thank you! P.S. I am now 100% going to get the fuzzy withered Freddy jacket

The fact people cheered when Mat showed up at the exact same energy as the other spidermen showing up in no way home just shows the impact this man has had.

It makes sense why the kid wasn't freaking out in the back seat. He knew who was kidnapping him. Considering most kidnappings are done by somebody that the child knows it peices together nicely.
  • I like to believe that the FNAF movie has its own lore, just like the books. Because William Afton’s daughter is Vanessa instead of Elizabeth, and instead of Evan it’s Garrett.

May I also say that the irony of the guy that played Shaggy from Scooby-Doo being the “bad guy in the suit” at the end, incredible!

To be honest, despite never having read the books, I never questioned why the drawing worked. That felt totally plausible within the context of a ghost story. Compare it to the kinds of solutions there are to supernatural creatures in folk stories: A sleep demon can't get you if you get into bed backwards If a spirit sneaks in through your keyhole, covering the keyhole will make it unable to find its way out (not because it can't get past the cover, because it literally can't find the keyhole) Vampires can't enter a home unless invited. In that context, 'ghost children believe drawings because drawings are important parts of how kids communicate' feels totally at home

I wish the production team luck in their attempts to understand mangle's anatomy. They will most certainly need it. Edit: Holy shinx. This is the most likes I think I've ever recieved. Thank you!

The biggest issue is that Mike didn’t know anything about the restaurant before he was given the job. If his dad helped make the place, he’d probably know.

I think you're 100% on Garrett being the puppet. I noticed, by listening to the soundtrack on that specific part of the credits, that the vocalizing kids in the background are making the same "airplane flying" noises that Garrett was before he was taken. If you listen to it, you'll here it randomly in the song. I love Scott's puzzles.

I love how this film and the whole vibe in the community feels like a return to form after all these years. Don’t get me wrong, I love FNAF both modern and old, but seeing those old characters in these iconic sets, hearing Foxy humming again…. it’s time travel

Can we just appreciate that we finally have a film theory for fnaf like... thats actually crazy
  • @user-lj9vt9qu9v
Seeing matpat show up in the movie and then the living tombstone in the credits with the most iconic fnaf fan song made me realize Scott Cawthon is definitively the best creative there can be. He made something iconic and great and treats the fans so so well.

Remember back in the old FNaF 2 days, when MatPat theorized that Phone Guy was the purple guy all along. Now cut to 2023. "Steve Raglan" is obviously supposed to be the stand in for Phone Guy (I'll catch you on the flipside) and who does he turn out to be? William Afton.
  • @RealGraySkyMusic
Having been a fan since 2015 of both Matpat and FNAF, I’m so proud of this franchise and channel
  • With so much lore, it was probably the best idea just to mix it all together and come up with the story using all the best bits
  • @Yourmomwcue
Can't wait for the second movie! All we have to do is wait another 8 years 😃
  • @Zoeythedog22
The movie brings up something that could completely change the way we think Fnaf works. They said this place has been closed down for years but still needs a night guard and in the movie Micheal has a modern cell phone (usually in movies set in the past they use old phones). So what this could mean for the games is Micheal dosent go to the restaurants until way later in the story like present day or even the future
