“What else explains a bullet miraculously curving through the air?”

Fun line from him as the actor also in “Wanted” where they literally do it all movie

24:30 Charles is a twin, but when he and his twin were developing in the womb and Charles' mutant gene developed and activated first, his immense psychic ability actually drained away the consciousness of his twin, leaving him a blank slate. The twin, as you can imagine, has the same mutant power but only one of them had the chance to develop. When Jean killed Charles in his original body, he used his powers just before dying to transfer his consciousness to his twin's body since it was just a blank husk. This was the reason they kept his twin's body alive all these years, and he knew he could do this and told the nurses there that if that body ever wakes up, it will be him not his twin

"All those years wasted fighting each other Charles. To have a precious few of them back." I am a huge fan of their friendship and I'm glad they put those scenes in throughout the franchise

To your point about Pietro, in the comics he's portrayed as a pretty irritable jerk because he explains that even a normal conversation for him feels like standing in line at the DMV. Life is just torturously slow for him.
  • Re: Mystique being captured but being free in the first movies, the story is that Mystique was captured and imprisoned for decades, then escaped a lot colder and murderous to hook up with the older Magneto. The scientists meanwhile spent years afterward perfecting the Sentinals with their research from Mystique.

I'm surprised no one mentioned it in the comments. So Charles looks like himself because the body he inhabited was his twin brother's. It's not really something you would know unless you read the comics. But that's the plot hole. Not really a plot hole but just something they didn't explain for people who aren't familiar with the comics.
  • Fun fact: Wolverine didn't originally have a healing factor in the comics. He just kept showing up again fine two or three pages after having the bub beat out of him. Eventually fans were like "How does he keep coming back so quickly?" and the authors decided healing quickly was one of his powers.

Evan Peter's as Quicksilver is such a amazing edition to cast of X-Men days of future past
  • @shainewhite2781
The film was a box office and critical success, making $770 million dollars against a $200 million dollar budget and holds 92% on RT, considered to be the best X Men Movie Ever made.
  • @metatoto
The quote about the "bullet miraculously curving" also feels like a jab at Wanted which also starred James McAvoy.

I feel like The reason Eric hasn’t “figured out he makes everything worse” is because that’s been his goal the whole time. Charles wants to coexist and prove that mutants aren’t a threat to anyone and should be treated as equals but Eric believes that they aren’t equals and that there can’t be coexistence and wants to force Conflict between the two. everything he does in this movie is in service of that, Mutants need to rule the world and humans need to be afraid. So news coverage of him doing murders in Paris and dropping stadiums on the white house is kind of the coverage he’s after
  • “I don’t want your suffering, I don’t want your future”
That and the entire scene that follows between the older and younger Charles Xavier is so powerful. Absolutely love it. I’ve seen this movie about 6 or 7 times and I tear up every time that scene plays.

Peter Dinklage's normal accent is "American" so what you hear in this movie is the real him. He was using a British accent in GOT.
  • @DayyHughes
For what it is worth, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Rogue cut.
  • @imagzz4942
I think a Rogue Cut "reaction" would be cool. Instead of it being a full on first time reaction, it would be more like a "What does Natalie notice this time" video, which can be a totally different thing.
  • @Ytomany
This movie is literally the infinity war of the xmen movies such a great movie hands down. Its rare you get a good ending like this and the only reason we got a good ending is cause logan wasnt allowed to be connected to the other movies and the past movies are inconsistent and seem to be a whole other timeline.
  • @kylejde
Nat - this story is based thematically on an actuall story in the comic books done way back in 1981. It was amazing and foward thinking then, and influenced so much of our "time travel" stories and rules in those stories today.
  • the character that appears in the post credits scene is "Apocalypse" (the world's first mutant).
  • I laughed at "it's so interesting seeing Peter Dinklage with an American accent" because he's from New Jersey. He was actually one of the few GoT cast members from the US. But something the has always bothered my about the baseball stadium scene. If Eric/Magneto lifted it off the foundation the way he did and moved the entire stadium, how did the stadium cameras still work? You can actually see he turn the cameras to him, which doesn't get me as they have metal in them but how do they turn on and air what is happening if they aren't connected to a power source?

Talking about Quicksilver, one of the best comic book issues ever was one where, Quicksilver and his team were each had a turn talking to a psychiatrist, and Quicksilver talked about how incredibly frustrating it is having to deal with slow people all the time.
