  • I’m sort of new at cooking. I lost my wife a few months ago. She was the best cook ! Now I’m having to provide for myself. ( sometimes I do good.. other times I have to throw it out 😂) thank you for your help. This 75 yr old old man needs all the help he can get. 🥴. God Bless you for sharing your talent and your beliefs.

This was my grandmother’s tradition EVERY single morning (even after her husband died) … she kept the huge breakfast popping along with cheesy grits. Her and my grandpa owned their own farm where the good homemade sausages were made with real farmhouse chicken hatched eggs. We had a good and BIG breakfast every morning! I miss my grandparents so much.

Reminds me of my sweet mama’s cooking…1916-1993-one of 10 children born on a completely self sustainable Texas farm. ✨♥️ How I miss you mama ♥️✨

My mom was born and raised in Alabama. She taught me how to make bacon grease gravy when i was 8. I'm now 64 and have been making sausage and bacon gravy all these years...lol Can i say i think i have it perfected? Lol I hope you are happy and doing well these days 💗

You should be in a school teaching young men and women how to cook for themselves once they leave home. I watched my mom cook and asked a lot of questions even after I had left home. One of the best lessons I've ever learned was to cook. God bless you!

I am an ancient hillbilly, and this took me back 60 years when gravies were plentiful. Everyone's grandma made excellent gravy. I've never mastered the art, but after watching your video, I may give it a try. Your delightful accent also took me back. Thanks for doing this video.

My pastor used to make us this biscuits and gravy for our church breakfasts. He was from the south and man he could cook. He went to be with the Lord last year, so now I gotta learn how to make this. Thank you for your video
  • This was our Sunday breakfast . I was brought up on. More bacon, fresh sliced tomatoes, fried potatoes and onions.I just realized this is one memory that wasn’t bad.Thank youBecky. That was 68 years ago.
  • I was born and raised in Detroit, and my grandmother was from South Carolina. She insisted on not only fixing Southern dishes, but teaching me how to cook 'em myself. "Any man who can't cook for himself is as useless as flippers on a horse," she'd always tell me. I make biscuits and gravy every Saturday morning. My wife is grateful lol

Found your channel on a fluke, and I'm so glad I did! I'm an old country boy. God, country, family, and GRAVY!

Sausage gravy and biscuits have traditionally been the bane of my existence. One time it turned into gravy bread. I do NOT recommend that. BUT -- I would like to VERY PROUDLY announce that tonight I made it while following along with you and..... IT WORKED!!!!!! ☺️ Thank you so much for posting!!!
  • My parents have 13 children , I remember mom making almost all these dishes , warms my heart to see them all again , god bless
  • @sarahbearable1
I watched this just now and feel absolutely confident I can actually. make gravy for the first time in my life. I'm 73. Thank you. God bless you!

OMG!! I don't know how to thank you! I grew up on biscuits and gravy, it was a treat my mom made every so often, but especially on special occasions. Being young and thinking mom was gonna live forever I took learning how to make this for granted, silly me, we lost her last year. Realizing how much I miss her, and her cooking, along came you! You make this exactly how she did, and I thought in her memory, I can do this. Made it this morning and she would be SO proud. 1st time out, nailed it, it brought back so many great memories, it was hard to eat and cry at the same time, but we did it! Thanks for making me WANT to make this. God I miss mom. Peace and blessings to you and your family. Thanks again.
  • I have never even heard of fried apples! Im so excited to give them a try! I just made this gravy with your 2 ingredient biscuits. Super yummy! Thank you so much and I love Jesus! My Lord and savior!!
  • @FossilHntr1
I’m a Texan and I approve this gravy!!! 😜 Seriously tho, I love watching you cook and listing to you talk! ❤️
  • When I was 17 years old, I cooked at a Sizzler Steakhouse and we made our own cream gravy for chicken fried steak. Same basic recipe as sausage gravy, without the sausage. Combine the flour with melted butter. To kick up the flavor, I added a spoonful of garlic salt and onion powder.
  • @tobascoheat6582
Becky, I've been watching you long enough to know that I can take what you said or what your granny said over the FDA ANY DAY!!! You cook just like my mama! Amazing, thanks!
