John Morris, now 102, was an anti aircraft gunner in London during the Blitz. In 1943, he went to North Africa with the Royal Artillery. He volunteered for the Raiding Support regiment an elite airborne unit that provided artillery for the SAS. After passing Special Forces Selection, he took part in Allied invasion of Italy at Salerno. Later his unit was smuggled into Yugoslavia to support Tito's resistance training radio operators.

  • In WWII Britain was able to draw on the resources of the Commonwealth for half its effort. In WWIII that isn’t happening, and Britain is much poorer now than in 1939, which means it’s buggered in a major conflict.
  • @sds3454
Why on earth would you fight for this country?
  • @diorocks5858

So what’s the reason for wwIII ? War Is not necessary? Just powerful people playing with pawns

With all the respect I have for veterans that fought during WW2, they have absolutely no clue how modern army and wars work, in todays war you won’t win with big armies, but with high powerful modern technology, and professionally well trained soldiers, with good modern equipment. What matters the most today are long ranged hypersonic missiles, air defence, bombers and most importantly jets, all thing that russia don’t have, ground troops in WW3 will be almost irrelevant, especially with russia, because they have no chance. For the nuclear weapons, people need to understand that no one will ever use them, if they never used them during the Cold War which lasted 45 years, they surely will not use them now, it’s just for intimidation and deterrence.
