The Falcons are NOT a good destination for Michael Penix Jr. | First Take
On First Take, I explains why I feel the Atlanta Falcons made the wrong decision drafting Michael Penix Jr. with the 8th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Lets make this clear, the mistake was NOT drafting Penix, the mistake was signing Cousins to that big contract.

YO MINA IS FUNNY AF! Her face when Dan started talking 😂
  • @vkjfsdg
Mina is the only person who is not insane in this clip.
  • @NPRENT23
Stephen A talks endlessly without even coming close to a coherent point
  • @TimothyRitchey
Mina, you're the best. Your eyes when DO was backtracking, hilarious!
  • @subtlesquire
Mina deserves a medal for sitting through all that.
  • @Quadrupledubs
As always.. Mina keepin it a buck, while Dan O remains in QB lala land and SA remains in lala land in general.

If you were not sold on your QB why guarantee $100 million? That makes no damn sense. Drafting Penix is fine, but you don't do both.
  • Sorry you had to sit through this, Mina. This looked like a rocket scientist trying to teach addition to a goat.
  • @SevTST
This is the toxicity of debate culture. There ain't no way that Stephen A or Dan actually disagrees with Mina's position... But the show must go on.

Mina's making all those faces in the beginning 😁 I agree with everything, Mina said
  • The mistake wasn't drafting penix, the mistake was giving cousins $100 million at 36 after tearing an Achilles. If cousins couldn't get it done when he was younger while having Justin Jefferson. Why will he get it done now without the best receiver in football while being older and coming off an injury like that. At this point I'd rather have younger penix on a rookie deal then 36 year old cousins coming off an injury making $50 million a year

Dan orlovsky’s face when Mina and Stephan A just nodding. It reminds me of being in a work meeting and not paying attention and acting like I knew what was going on
  • Mina is the only one talking sense up there. DO has turned into a people pleaser, and Stephen A's been lost for a long time now.
  • @legsbenedict17
Mina is the only one speaking sense, "smart" people on TV trying to convince us this is actually a great move that we just don't understand
  • @slimpickens9103
Raheem Morris said if QB play was better he wouldn’t be the coach in Atlanta so that man is guaranteeing he gets the QB right.

Breathe in, breathe out, I'm not gon' scream and shout

SAS's take on this is so bad. When you pay Cousins that money, you expect him to lead your team. You don't pick a 24 year old QB with knee and shooter issues at 8th overall for a safety blanket. At least go JJ who is 3 years younger.

So you have ACL injury concerns with Kirk so you draft a guy with even more injury concerns (ACL 2x+)? By that logic you need insurance on your insurance in the 2nd round.
