bs, ds2 has the best dlcs of the franchise, u r just bad at the game.

The first area in the Artorias DLC being “familiar” is the whole point of the DLC. You’re going back to Darkroot Garden in the past.
  • @benzohhhhh
Who else is watching any and all souls content waiting for DLC
  • @dylanvieler1806
The artorias dlc take was weak, the fact that it’s the same place u knew but back in time is why it’s my favorite dlc. Darkroot in modern times is very hard to maneuver and very dark, so it was very pleasing to see the place flooded with life and clarity
  • I absolutely agree with how the dlcs elevate the base game. DS3 didn't NEED ringed city to be a great game, well at least to most people. It could've honestly just gotten ashes for just friede and it would've been a great game but the fact that it introduced the best dragon boss and the best single fight in the soulsborne series is insanej

the first area of the hunters nightmare doesn't feel rehashed at all. the layout and the interactions are entirely different, and the area that replaces yahar'gul is completely new

Souls content creators attacking DS2 is what they consider the easy way to embrace the community. It's easy mode for content creators.

Dude is on a mission of shitting on Dark Souls 2
  • While I personally think Old Hunters was the best DLC, I'd say DS3 has the best "DLC content" as a whole. The two dlc's combined are noticeably bigger than the old hunters and have more memorable bosses.

PLEASE SAY THE NAMES OF THE DLC/LOCATIONS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THANK YOU

Dude the rehashing take is bad imo, I guess the magic didn’t work on u but for most people seeing old places in this new completely different light is shockingly good, I’ve had the new area screen a million times in souls, I don’t need something completely new for a dlc, if that were all that mattered then there’d be no difference between a dlc and a main game area

The fact that you put an entire DLC over both Eleum Loyce and Shulva (both DLCs having so muvh personality and interesting stuff about them) just because of the final boss is kind of insane. Yes, Frida is an amazing boss. Yes, you don't like DS2, but also-, putting the bosses SO over everything else is such a weird thing imo. Same with the Ringed City. Gael is my favorite boss of the franchise, Midir is my favorite dragon fight, the Demon Prince is great too, I like the lore and the Ringed Knights are cool both in design and as enemies But is it really deserving of the first place??? There are 2 swamps in the DLC, both full of annoying enemies which only purpose is to avoid you from exploring the zone (mainly referring to the angels, but the Ringed City archers are just as annoying kill you extremely fast). The Dreg Heap is literally just a corridor that if you want to explore you have to teleport back to the bonfire for every path you take, and the Ringed City is not that much bettee either, while also being full of ganks. It is definitely NOT the best DLC, but people just forget about all the problems of the DLC just because of the boss fights
  • Hearing pale court in the background just made me want to go listen to pale court again
  • “This dlc has bad atmosphere because of snow” mannn that’s such a nitpick but it’s such a valid one 😭

I disagree that Dark Souls 3 doesn't have any major flaws. It does my favorite thing about the Souls games the worse, and that is exploration. Dark Souls 3 is too linear. It doesn't have those intricate shortcuts or paths that wrap back around to a previous area. Its mostly just a straight shot from beginning to end game, which I kind of hate. I love it when it's possible to get lost in the world of these games and find myself asking "where the hell am I?" I like the sense of adventure and journey, and Dark Souls 3 really doesn’t do this for me. Even Dark Souls 2 does a better job at this. It's less linear, and it has sheer size going for it. There's way more possible instances where the player can be left wondering where the hell they are.
