I realised that before building on Finch Farm overpass, it needs to be made child-friendly. This was definitely not prompted by me falling to my death.

This place is a real deathtrap: Gunners the other side of the river, super mutants in the giants antenna next door and they are right next to the Forged lair. The Finch didn't choose the best place to settled, aren't they? XD

I have noticed that about The Hangman's Alley, and I think it's because the water table was so high in that area. You can't see it unless you glitch and see through the ground, or happen to use console commands on PC, but I've noticed that any area that has a water table that is kind of high relative to the ground will have the same issue.

Nice. When my latest character gets over to Finch I'm gonna do the repairs just like that. Only, I'll probably make a spiral stair around one of the columns (maybe) instead of an elevator so settler safety is a major priority.

Had to laugh at the "fell to my death comment". I can't count how many times that happened to me. One time it was after a foray over to the gunner camp and then about an hour's worth of progress on the overpass. Almost threw my controller.

So I was watching a few older fallout videos and came across a few 'airship' builds using only the vanilla items. Obviously due to lack of options they looked extremely blocky so I decided to try my hand at building one with all the new options he have and I have to say that I have created a very nice affect. To create a 'curve' a pillar glitch some of the ramps from contraptions in a circular shape and followed that curve with barn walls as they have a slightly nicer texture than base wood.

Any settlement locations in mind after Finch Farm? Not many people use the mechanist lair, I just have it as storage fro my sentry bot provissioners
