The Fantastic Four are Marvel Comics first family - they changed everything about comic books by presenting a human familydynamic in the setting of grand cosmic adventures. And that has led to a ton of action features. In this video we look at some of the best FF toys from ToyBiz, Marvel Legends, Hasbro, Diamond Select, Marvel Select and Mezco. And you can help decide which of the Fantastic Four's figures are the best

I'm the happiest man alive right now! I've been waiting for you to make a fantastic four action figure retrospective video, you just nail the presentation and your commentary is simply superb. the FF are my favorite super hero team and it was through them that i became a huge fan of jack kirby and his phenomenal work, so seeing you talk about them is a match made in heaven.

So I just finally sifted through the Mezco set more thoroughly myself, and Johnny DOES have a fire neck piece. In the tray with his other flame effects should be a more solid red ring looking piece. It turns out the "flesh" colored part of his neck can be removed from the base of the neck and replaced with this red piece. Weirdly different from the other ways Mezco has done necks, but it works. I still think Sue Storm should have had at least a translucent head though.
  • The mezco fantastic four Johnny actually does come with an alternate piece for his flame on neck

Man I’ll never be tired of these deeper dives of characters in plastic! Honestly I hope Carbon Scoring has that same level of wholesome love that the great Glenn Webb has in all of his videos as well. I think Doom alone could provide a great look at the best villain in comics!
  • I have that Human Torch figure from the first feature film. The flame tornado attachment behind his back actually clicks the button on his back and it acts like a stand for him. I love this video omg brings back the memories of myself playing with my action figures. I LOVE THE VIDEO!
  • @haggis0257
I absolutely had that 90’s Thing figure growing up. Core memory unlocked.
  • Your well documented love for the Byrne run inspired me to go back and read it and I gotta say IT WAS WORTH IT! Cheers!
  • @Donger3k
That original art deserves its own video!

I’m sorry man who created what is not irrelevant the King has far to often been short changed of his credit and it is relatively clear that the Challengers where the inspiration for the FF and Kirby was the main creative force behind them, what is not indisputable is that Jacob Jack King Kirby is probably one of the most creative minds of the twentieth century co-creator of Captain America, Fantastic Four, Inhumans, X-men, Marvel’s Thor,Nick Fury Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D. The design of Spider-Man, Fourth world, Captain Victory, and we know from Bob Kane everything is always not what it seems Bill Finger was woefully short changed and deserves far more credit for Batman than he gets.Kirby deserves more credit.

Always excited to see new CS vid, excellent job. Btw The Mezco Johnny Storm actually has an alternate neck for the flame on head

So cool. Love the FF. Always have a shelf with the different version and lines of them. Great vid, Still haven't got the Mezco. But I may get them yet. Would be cool to see the different villains of heroes and teams of comic lore too. Also I consider the super hero squad part of my FF's display. Fantastic vid, thank you again. Makes my weekend.

My preference is the Byrne-era costumes of FF, but all these figures look extraordinary, and the Walgreens set is - dare I say it - fantastic!

I was never a big fan of the Diamond Select Things face sculpt so years ago I added a beard made out of a pink stick on moustache. It was a reference to the old Marvel Adventures comics that depicted future Thing as having a pink beard and it’s imagery that’s stuck with me throughout my childhood
  • @WarriorSmurf
That "80's" FF cartoon was actually from the 70's (1978 to be exact). The John Byrne FF costume redesigns' "blue" is actually black. Check out season two of the 90's animated series.

That first movie thing is incredible! Can't believe this is my first time seeing it
  • @ivane5110
As a kid I really loved the FF (once I got over uniforms instead of different superhero costumes) thank to their comics and Saturday morning cartoons. The rest of kids must've too, for a while, since we got all 4 by Mego (even flame off Johnny, thanks to Reed's costume on Aquaman, though they did the unthinkable and skipped Dr. Doom) but once we got downsized with the 3 3/4 pocket heroes we lost them and a whole lot more. Shame; everyone I knew would've loved the FF at that size too (even Herbie). It's nice to see so many waves of the 1st family of Marvel have been made. I hope tgeir next movie outing is not onky good enough to give them the spotlight again, but to do it in a way kids and adults can all enjoy.
  • @The_Cardinal.
Hey dude! Love your stuff, so I’ve got some requests! -could we get some more iron man or war machine stuff? -Doctor doom, he’s just iconic -History of wolverine! Thanks so much for reading this dude! Your videos got me to learn more about older comics which helped me form a really strong bond with my dad, so you helped me through some tougher times, thank you so much!
  • @lexirose9753
I grew up loving my time with the Chris Evans torch figure shown. now watching this and seeing the full set I want to go back and buy them all
  • @pacetyler
Great video! I ended up trading out my early legends torch for the retro one in my Spider-Man team up display. I appreciate the comic book look of the early one, but it’s hard to beat the translucent plastic and improved posability of the newer version.
