At this point I think one of the main charms of Modern SMG4 is how you never know if something's an incoming arc or just a little gag that may or may not return

I love that SMG3's being a therapist isn't just a one-off gag, but an actual part of his character. And I especially love that he actually seems to be pretty decent at it.

I think Mario always felt the pressure of being the front-face of any business he had, and that's why drawing an OC worked.

Slowly every indie character in SMG4 universe will get their own VO. Its impressive and lovely.

It was a funny joke in the moment but hearing SMG4 say "Mario's never gonna change" is actually kinda sad both out of and in-universe. Cause on one side it means that the characters will have to put up with Marios antics and shenanigans for the rest of their life unless they leave the "show" and on the other it means that we will probably never see Mario get any real character development that won't be backstepped 3 or 4 episodes down the line. The only way to get believable change in Mario's character would be to make him a big arc antagonist or at least that's what I think.
