wow I can’t believe I actually made this. istg this is only bc I have an exam next week and I decided to avoid studying for it aksgsksgs

so I’m fucking stupid 🧍‍♀️ I thought that the touya backstory would be next week, but no??it only happens AFTER the war arc ends 😭😭 next week we’re getting the bts shoutout, and then it’s mr compress’ episode I think 👀👀 but in any case, since I can’t wait until the backstory gets animated to finish this, I decided to improvise. I cannot guarantee the quality of the results.

anyways THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD???? holy shit I have no words for how much I loved it so muchhhh this is everything I could’ve hoped for and MORE?!?!?!!! seriously, I don’t think anime onlys understand how big of an impact this chapter had. speaking for myself rn — I joined the bnha fandom back in 2016/17, around the eri arc, and even then there were already some theories about dabi’s identity, though they weren’t all that strong. but seeing more and more clues come out every chapter, and seeing videos on YouTube pop up with the evidences of the theory, and seeing all the speculation and debate on tumblr — that time was amazing. I cannot express how much fun it was to accompany everything happening in real-time. I think I didn’t get that happy that a theory was confirmed since the 2CT, and even then I wasn’t actually in the fandom, I just liked to accompany on tumblr ppl making theories about ciel. this was different. I got to see the theory gaining more and more notoriety until it eventually got confirmed.

and OH BOY. I know that the official release date for the chapter was Nov 8th, bc the official translation only comes out on Sundays, but the leaks actually got out on a Thursday. an out of touch Thursday. of the first week of November, 2020. during the presidential election of the USA. the day that a bunch of red states turned blue. the day that it got out that Putin said that he would resign (which wasn’t even true lmao). the day that castiel told dean that he loved him and got sent to supergayhell. the leaks got out on Nov 5th and I gotta say that was one of the best days of my life. the closest thing the internet has gotten to the energy that tumblr had on that day was earlier this year when Queen Elizabeth died (rest in piss colonizer). you just had to be there.

I still have on my computer this one power point presentation that I created back in 2018/19 with all the evidence so far that dabi was in fact a todoroki. that theory seriously changed the way I viewed media. I had been obsessed w a lot of stuff before, but never had I gotten so invested in crafting theories and joining every single puzzle piece. I’m not active in the fandom anymore, and it’s been over one year since I last read the manga, but this anime still has a big place in my heart bc of how invested I got in it.

this AMV was actually much harder to make than my furuba ones lmao. I know the furuba episodes by heart, so whenever I was planning an AMV I knew exactly what episode I should look for and I had a vague idea of in which time stamp it should be. I didn’t get this luxury with bnha, so I actually went around looking on YouTube for bnha reactions just so I could confirm what episodes I should actually download the scenes from, and that was way more tiring than I imagined. well, I hope it was worth it. tho I do plan on making more furuba amvs after this. It’s definitely better for me.

also!! life update!! I’m free of my hellish roommates and have been living alone for the past few months and it’s literally been the best experience of my life. seriously, no complaints. this is heaven on earth. I’ve never felt so free 🙏 but my country did lose in the World Cup last week, so I’m kinda mourning rn. four minutes smh. THO GOOD NEWS!! LULA ELEITO PORRA!! can’t wait until bozo gets arrested 🖕
