    The only way it hurts Loblaws is disruption... Once a consumer makes a change they may never return fully. Some of those customers who were mad will find new stores and deals they prefer. It is entirely possible that in the very long run this costs Loblaws $billions ...but it would be hidden in the lost potential. More likely it just teaches them that consumers are not entirely without power... Which i think was the point anyway.
