If you haven't looked into it before, Duolingo (yes, the language-learning app) actually has some pretty deep lore that is worth digging into. Not just in regards to the memey green owl, but the side cast of recurring characters that are explored through the "stories" section of the app. Yes, I am 100% serious.

11:20 I feel that Trenton is innocent and it was actually the other dude (I forgor his name) was the guy who turned everyone into monsters, and fearing that Trenton might find out, he turned him into one of the monsters I also feel like Trenton isn’t his real name, which I feel is a reason why he doesn’t show a last name, he’s trying to hide the evidence of what he did.

Maybe being alone trapped inside the facility made the rainbow friends go insane and lose themselves, truly turning into monsters. Also, those files on yellow and pink were fan-made

seeing that now matpat is going into the lore of roblox, it would be very interesting to see him delve into the deep mystery of roblox myths. those games were always very creepy with deep interconnected lore

I feel like "You only slowed me down" could also hold a double meaning. On top of the "you didn't stop me" message, it could also suggest that Trenton considered Davis to be a weak link in his experiments, and having him gone has actually streamlined his operation.
