FIRST DRIVE: Lamborghini Revuelto - 1,001bhp V12 Hybrid MONSTER! | Top Gear

Lamborghini has often felt like the last dinosaur, roaring forlornly in the face of electric’s meteoric impact. No more. The Revuelto has adapted to this new climate. The Aventador replacement, Lamborghini’s biggest beast, is now a plug-in hybrid. It features three electric motors, and a 6.5-litre V12 revving to 9,500rpm, for a total of 1,001bhp.

There is no reverse gear, that’s done electrically. There’s no clumsiness either: the handling is far more sophisticated, so too the electrical integration. The gearbox no longer thrashes your head back and forth like a metaller in a mosh pit. There’s more space in the cabin and – ‘alleluja – the seats are no longer as pious as a church pew, but instead embrace and coddle.

Join TG's Jack Rix at the Vallelunga track in Rome for TG’s first thrash in a Lambo like no other.

Wow, well, I'm glad that Lamborghini is sticking to its guns and continuing to offer a V12 despite where the market has been heading.
  • If the Revuelto can produce that much power, imagine how the SV/SVJ version is going to be like.
  • @Desmond17
I love how Lambos still look bonkers to this day.
  • @TymaDem
Gotta admit that Revuelto’s looks have grown in me a lot since its launch, it's very good-looking
  • There was always something so iconic about the original single clutch gearbox. The noise that it made was heavenly
  • @willlashley1378
yeah i really like this car. it’s not quite on the same level of lust as an old Murcíelago SV, but it’s not far off. still taking it over an SF90 every day of the week and twice on a Sunday
  • @B4R0N.
These things are gonna sound insane when Gintani get their hands on em.
  • @carfan3762
Great review. The guys at Lamborghini obviously know what they are doing, and also what is expected from them. Nice to be reminded that in due time a SV or SVJ version will be on offer (let alone a possible Sterrato !). But beyond all the hypercar stuff (figures, bonkers performance), what counts and is definitely part of the Lamborghini DNA is what I call the feel at the wheel. And listening to your comments shows that Lamborghini have ticked that box too. 👏

I LOVE this car, not only a V12 Lambo, my dream concept for a car, it's now more practical on the interior, has the glorious (982) Cayman Cupholders, softer seats, you can drive it silently on residential areas but still is A HOWLING FIRE BREATHING MONSTER. This is just the best car 🥰🥰
  • @OJB42
Lambos were always insane, but not necessarily technically that great. With every new model they are just getting better while maintaining the insanity. Impressed!
  • @PDoggUK
That back end is really something imo, but then again I love it all. Wow.
  • @Pr3stag3
If the car is made by Lamborghini then it is indeed a real Lamborghini. Just because it's got electric "assistance" doesn't detract from the fact it's still a kick ass car
  • @Mithrandir42
Ok, I am very impressed. I thought it would be a monster in everyday driving, but it doesn't seem like it will be. I also love that the Revuelto looks like a proper Lamborghini. Lots of vents, angles and wings, but not overly-styled like the previous Honda Civic Type-R and the last 10-years' Ferraris. The new steering wheel looks fantastic and the infotainment in the middle is the opposite of what Ferrari are doing - which is good. The Purosangue needs a central screen because choosing between a tachometer and infotainment is an utterly stupid concept. The Revuelto also looks like the ultimate villain's car, like the Audi RS cars. I would have the Revuelto over the SF90 Stradale - even if the suspension is a bit stiff. I mean, the Revuelto can be a glorious GT car if the situation calls for it, but can also be an absolute beast on a track. What a car!

I speak on camera for a living. So i can appreciate JUST HOW GOOD he is….I have no idea how he drives a supercar AND talks so succinctly AND has such a colorful vocabulary. It would take me days to sit & script write to perfectly sculpt sentences like that….meanwhile…this guy just says them WHILE driving a supercar around a track. Incredible.
  • @DPCcars
The V12 engine, with its unparalleled power and the symphony of its exhaust notes, embodies the essence of what makes a Lamborghini, a Lamborghini.
  • @MrSuperflydude
It's everything a Lamborghini should be. Huge v12, batshit styling, lots of speed. Then most importantly, lots, a lot of noise
  • @Holgzac6
World's fastest wedge of cheese. 🧀
  • @Realizinq
No matter how quality these videos are- And Jack is not that bad. Every Top Gear car review I see, I can’t help but wish it was Clarkson, May, or Hammond reviewing it 💔
