Cannabis is not the ‘gateway’ psychedelic. It is also disrespectful to call it weed. The right cannabis in the right context is one of the most powerful psychedelic medicines on the planet. This podcast covers everything you might want to know about how to cultivate it, how to utilize it for maximum benefit, what to stack it with (and what NOT to stack it with) and how to connect with the spirit of the plant. Cannabis is legal in 19 states and readily available nationwide, so it’s high time to cultivate a beautiful relationship with her beyond the ‘anxiety’, ‘munchies’, or ‘sleepiness’, that are side effects of what she is really trying to do. Ryan Sprague is a master cultivator and experientialist with this plant, and this conversation was as potent as some of his strains.

Psychedelics such as psilocybin mushrooms, have demonstrated great potential in supporting individuals dealing with mental health challenges.
  • I am currently folding laundry and ironing. As a person with adhd and perfectionism my cannabis helps me to enjoy mundane tasks while not worrying so much to make things perfect. I also thank myself when I am done with a chore.

I did this same thing YEARS ago. I had panic attacks in my late teens. Weed would make it worse. I decided one day to smoke my self uncomfortable and stare at myself in the mirror as the panic set in and I started worrying more, I called for more. I wanted all the panic. It immediately went away and I started to feel amazing. That was a life changing moment realizing how my anxiety and panic attacks were trying to control me
  • Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

Psilocybin saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety and illicit pill addiction. Imagine carrying heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not in a couple years the be all over for treatment of mental health related issues. 0:04
  • I did not get cannabis for a very long time. Had a bad trip on it with the age of 19. After that I could not smoke any for the next 12 years, because I got so terribly paranoid with it. 12 years later, I realized, that the plant was telling me to deal with the paranoia which eventually sorted out a lot of confusing thoughts I had about myself and others. Thanks to cannabis I learned to trust in my own thoughts and my intiuation and also to set clear boundries for my social life. I also learned that the world is a darker place than I thought and that you are not supposed to get along with everybody. I believe it is important to accept this uncomfortable truth, as I figured out that hiding from this fact is like going through the world with blindfolders.. no wonder that I lived life in constant state of fear and anxiety. So whatever cannabis is, it is at least an eye-opener / trauma-solver.

I have been using cannabis as my therapist for the last 7 years. She is like the angel on my shoulder telling me what I did wrong and could have done better. Instead of feeling anxiety or getting paranoid about it, I listen and learn. She has made me a better person. I think cannabis is the Goddess of Healing (mind, body and soul).

The absolute craziest feeling realization ive had while going through a psychedelic experience, was the felt realization that the world outside and the world inside aren't two separate worlds. That outside and inside mind are seamlessly connected and part of each other. I was like "oh, its all just one thing"

Changing your perspective on smoking weed from just getting high to respecting the plant and letting it help and guide you will tremendously change the effect. Honor the plant and it will be able to help you much more ♥
  • Psychedelics are just an amazing discovery. It's quite fascinating how effective they are for depression and stress disorders. Saved my life,

I've been stating this for many years, that anxiety felt, is shadows being revealed once the days disctractions are dissipated and our mind returns to viewing of the self.
  • I'm so grateful that someone else is talking about this, because I've been thinking similar things for a while now. I've been really learning how to connect with cannabis as a sacrament, and a teacher.
  • @MikeJamesJohn
You know what, I've been a weed user for over 25 years now and I've learnt more in the first 15 minutes of your podcast than I have the whole time I've smoked it, thank you and keep up the good work. Great shows. Regards, Mike from the UK.

Smoked weed last friday in coffeshop in amsterdam when i was drunk, didnt like it, i felt insecure and air felt heavy. The day after i smoked again, but now sober, nice music, watching travel videos and colorful lighting= soothed the soul. What a difference. Treat drugs with respect for the best experiences.
  • @gustavolonewolf
I’ve been smoking weed daily for 25 years and I am just now getting to look at it with more respect and reverence, which has made me cut down on it and smoke way less. Love the message you’re spreading! Thanks!
  • @PvPwithdinner
I faced my anxiety weed gave me and learned more than i could ever imagine.
  • I love the anxiety. It gives me a bit of challenge in some otherwise boring situations. And being able to handle it then, I feel it truly makes me mentally stronger in otherwise challenging situations.
  • @aut0nick
These are the first people i have ever seen to express literary exactly my thoughts of this topic. 1000% true.
  • @5cherrybun
Most of my trips are calming but one trip was pure sadness. I cried for 3 hours straight and fully felt my depression and loneliness. I felt so refreshed the next day.
