Gilbert Arenas BUILDS His Own NBA Hall Of Fame as he tells Gil's Arena that the NBA Hall of Fame is too watered down and needs to emphasize greatness over accomplishments. Coming of the Hall of Fame Inductions of Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki and Pau Gasol, Gil analyzes the criteria that makes an NBA Hall of Famer and debates how some players ever made it in.

Gil’s Arena premieres every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

The biggest tragedy in sports is the NFL not putting Terrell Owens 1st ballot

Pau Gasol is a Goat. Those guys are tripping. He is one of four players in NBA history with 20,000 points, 11,000 rebounds, 3,500 assists and 1,500 blocks. The other Three players that have accomplished that are Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar , they been playing basketball 77 years and only four men have accomplished this. Put some respect on Pau”s name.

I like what Gil said . Gil told you he doesn't, he doesn't have enough monster years . Other guys are not able to stand when you take away titles
  • @mashedpotato982
Gil is right. HOF is cheapened now. Deion called out NFL HOF too for the same reason.

Pau is arguably the FIBA goat. He could be in the hall of fame without playing a single NBA game
  • Pau is definitely Gold. Look at how many medals he won and his body of work overseas
  • @lbarge85
It's the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame. Not the professional basketball hall of fame. It's based on your contributions to the game overall.

“If I take your rings away” — Reason Draymond Green has rings is because the sum of his parts are more impactful to winning than Harden’s 30 PPG. The more I hear Gilbert Arenas speak, the more I understand why he never won anything. Selfish players are obsessed with what their stats look like, great historical players do what’s necessary to win.

Gil Cappin again Tony Parker has one of the highest in the paint percentage for point guard position in league history.
  • @brainmt
Gasol is easily a hall of fame player and deserves it. Just for what he did for Spain. Add in his incredible NBA run on top of it. Duh
  • @Tiss75014
The disrespect for Tony Parker is crazy how many European players in the NBA have this resume: 4× NBA champion (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014) NBA Finals MVP (2007) 6× NBA All-Star(2006, 2007, 2009, 2012–2014) 3× All-NBA Second Team (2012–2014) All-NBA Third Team (2009) NBA All-Rookie First Team (2002) No. 9 retired by San Antonio Spurs FIBA EuroBasket MVP (2013) 2× FIBA EuroBasket Top Scorer (2011, 2013) 2× FIBA Europe Player of the Year (2013, 2014) 2× Euroscar Award (2007, 2013) 2× L'Équipe Champion of Champions (2003, 2013) LNB All-Star (2001) LNB Pro A Most Improved Player (2001) Pro A Best Young Player (2001)
  • So everything matters except rings? «You gotta take everything into account, except rings» - gil Makes sense in a team sport😂😂
  • @nakathegreat9548
It's not all about stats!! This man showing what his nba career was about, STATS!!!
  • @michaelroelant7134
One of the best and real shows, keep it up gil and company!greetings from belgium
  • @darrencare2427
Pau was a six-time NBA All-Star and a four-time All-NBA team selection, twice on the second team and twice on the third team. Gasol won two NBA championships, both with the Los Angeles Lakers back-to-back in 2009 and 2010. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2002 with the Memphis Grizzlies, being the first non-American player to have won that award.
  • @tonyochiha9798
The Naismith basketball HOF is about the story of basketball across the many levels. The NBA needs to have a specifically NBA Hall of Fame where it's only about NBA career achievements and they need to make it like the baseball HOF where it's a tough voting process for a player to get in.
  • @grantprice9768
Gil just tore down his whole argument saying Marburgy in for sure dear lord
