You give this ol' one-armed mechanic and race car driver a hell of a lot of laughs. Thanks so much for sharing you and your lovely family with all of us.
  • I love how many videos we got this week merry Christmas Derek and family
  • Pretty dang cool seeing Bailey get in on some shop action!!!!!!
  • @Peepbus
A few or more fellers had a heart attack when you hit that Ranger with a bat tree.
  • 2:25 hood immediately detaches šŸ˜‚ 2:46 I Wish I had as much confidence in people as he does putting his hand underneath the hood barely being held up.. šŸ˜¢šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ HOLY SMOKE HOUSE WHAT IS GOING ON? šŸ˜‚ 6:52 Junior Is Standing There holding the hood like.. šŸ™„ 11:36 14:16 Flying Batteries

Good stuff. I wonder if any of the boys are as quick witted and humorous as Derek. A funny father with funny kids/wife is a wonderful home to be in.

Here I am with tons of stuff to do for Christmas and I'm sitting here watchin a guy changin on a battray! But,....That may have been the funniest battery change I've ever seen! Thank you Derek, Merry Christmas to you and the family and thanks for keeping us entertained and educated in your own unique way. God bless

People are wondering why he would put the powder coated wheels on there, but I am wondering why he wouldn't rebuild those lug nuts. Lol! Loving that plasma table. It is amazing how much it changes your capabilities. I guess I should go put a clutch in my car now. Not looking forward to it. She's been in since new and lasted 147,000 miles. So I guess I can't really complain too much. Going to go ahead and do the axle shafts, seals, and rear main seal that has been leaking like a sieve for about 50,000 miles.
  • Iā€™m so happy for you and your family. We live in central Kentucky and cost of living is even higher here than in Tennessee. So many of us viewers live vicariously through you. I spent my childhood watching and helping my dad like you get to with your boys. We lost dad two months ago in the middle of a 71 Camaro restoration. Probably his 14th restoration. Itā€™s been comforting stumbling upon this channel and getting to relive my old memories on a screen infront of me. You have no idea how much you and your humor mean to me. Thank you and God bless you.

You gave Bailey more "atta boys" and pats on the head in this video than I received during most of my childhood while handing tools and holding lights for my old man. You are a good dad Derek. Happy Holidays.

Just watching "I Drove 1,000 Miles to Surprise My Wife With Her old Truck!" and I get a notification for this!. So much VGG in a 24 hr span. Awesome Christmas present for all us viewers Derek!
  • @MarkGeraghty
I pretty much laughed most of the way through. And that don't happen often. After a lifetime of working on sketchy cars, this show says so much.
  • Thanks for the entertainment Derek. I'm disabled after getting crushed under my car while working on it. Being able to watch a guy turn them metric and standard Vice Grips on the many different fine machines a feller comes across is a close second to actually busting up the knuckles on my own butt scratchers. So thanks for keeping that content coming, it's more than just entertainment for some of us!!! And, well if you ever need something when close to Meadville PA, proud home of Channel Lock Inc (I know it's not Vice Grip, but close!) drop a fella a line.
  • Itā€™s great that you are having your boys help you . One day they will be glad they did.
  • Can't wait to see that DMC 12 in the background worked on šŸ˜‰šŸ‘
  • @BillyBanana75
You are SO lucky to have a couple boys that not only like being in the shop with you, but actually HELP!!! God bless you. I have 3 boys and neither one could give a good got damn about my shop, my tools or my vehicles... I thought things might a changed once they started driving... nope.... I can tell you cherish the time you spend with them, and that is great! #blessed
  • Derek, I nearly peed myself and fell off my work at home office chair when you talked about using the Michael Jackson dance on the accelerator to get it primed up to start. That was absolutely great.
