Woosung from The Rose. You'd like them too. This song grew on me. At first I liked it of course, but it took a while before I fell absolutely in love with it. It is such a beautiful and reassuring song. You understand it exactly the way it was meant to be understood...your own way. Ryuichi Sakamoto is someone Yoongi really respected and looked up to as a person and a musician. He passed away recently. I'm glad that this song introduced me to him and his musical genius. Also this Yoongi is my phone lockscreen.

YASSS!!! Snooze is my absolute favourite song off of the whole D-Day album. It truly shows his (and the group's) supportive attitude toward industry newcomers and anyone else willing to chase their dreams. They don't want them to endure the same treatment that they themselves did and if you watch them interact with all the new Hybe groups they live up to it too, there's no snobbery at all. They practice what they preach, hearts of gold in all of them. The older man in the MV is a highly acclaimed Japanese composer known for his innovative work especially with electronic and film music. He's won both an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA and two Golden Globes during his long career. He and Suga wrote the music for Snooze together and unfortunately yes, the dedication is for him since he lost his longlasting battle with Cancer shortly after their collaboration. RIP 💐 (Not me writing the entire thing right before you talked about him. 🤦😅) 💜

Woosung and Suga are the same age and friends. It led to my obsession with Woosung and his band The Rose. Sakamoto has been my favorite composer since I was a teenager and played the beautiful background piano but sadly passed of cancer. He’s the old Japanese man So ga bows to in the video. This song was the last he worked in before he passed. Beautiful. In the live versions especially the final concert Suga broke down in tears performing it. 💜💜💜

Woosung from The Rose also has solo music when the rest of the band were serving mandatory military service, Woosung was exempt as he was born in the US.

Ryuichi Sakamoto was the older gentleman that Yoongi was bowing to in the MV. Back in late 2023 they had a chance to meet and were briefly able to share their thoughts on music. May he RIP. 💜 Absolutely love this beautiful song! Yoongi is magically talented. He reminds me of a gorgeous bird that sings of all his sorrow, knowing tomorrow can bring peace and joy.
