One of the better Reactions to this masterpiece that I’ve seen (and I’ve seen dozens). Great job!
  • When Tuomas had Tarja He had a Stradivarius When Tuomas had Anette He had a Steinway Tuomas now has Floor He now has the whole freaking Orchestra
  • @teethyco5978
I like your reaction as new subscriber to your channel, Try this... "Bridge Over Troubled Water (So Hyang Version)" by a Filipino girl group 4TH IMPACT Thanks a lot.
  • Thanks for your reaction you did a really good job. In the beginning that was Troy playing guitar using an E Bow then he was playing the Uilleann pipes there Irish they get there air through a bellows under the right elbow that he pumps up while playing and goes to a holding bag under his other elbow, also The drummer Jukka left in 2014 because of medical issue but remains in management and his friend Kai Hahto took over.
  • I saw them a few months back in NYC and it was one of the best experiences i ever had .....it took me weeks to get it out of my head ........they ended the show with this song ......too see Floor LIVE is truly indescribable, she just owns the entire venue, you cannot keep your eyes off her, not to mention shes singing her ass off for 2 hrs .

Troy plays the Uillean pipes, the Irish bagpipes, also known as elbow pipes. He inflates the bellow under his right arm with his elbow, an expels with with left elbow forcing air through the pipes. He was one playing guitar with an eBow at the beginning. He does not do this in the Tampere version, but instead uses a low whistle. Kai Hahto was on drums here in 2015. Gaea does come from the name of the Greek goddess, but essentially is a word for “Mother Earth”. Their concerts are epic and amazing, whether at a huge festival or a small club venue. They are masterful. Tuomas is an amazing lyricist, and almost all in his second language. Keep exploring Nightwish. WE WERE HERE!
  • This is a Mammoth of a song. The whole Evolution in one song. No other than Nightwish can (or want) do this. As a patriotic Finn l find the Tampere version a little more epic one (if possible). 😎👍 (And by the way, it's Troy playing the guitar with the E-bow device in the beginnig and Kai Hahto on the drums then). But no worries, excellent reaction.
  • Great reaction. It is Troy playing guitar with e-bow at the beginning, not Emppu. The drummer is Kai Hahto, not Jukka. Thanks.👍

I saw them a few months back in Chicago. I loved it. Because of COVID, going to a concert like that was the first time I'd been in a crowd in ages -- and it was with Nightwish Army (my people). I got pretty overwhelmed. ••• Thanks! PEACE!!!
  • There is something greatly rewarding about watching someone sharing an honest moment of amazement with the music you yourself have fallen in love with. Thank you for sharing.
  • To really see Floor use her vocal techniques, stage presence and emoting to their fullest, I would recommend reacting to Floor's performance of Face Your Demons from her solo show in Amsterdam on her Youtube channel.
  • I saw there virtual world shows last year may, both of them. In july last year I went to Finland for my vacation and saw them live on stage 3 times in 4 days. And this year in june I saw them live at PinkPop in the Netherlands. I have seen a lot of concerts and festivals, but with Nightwish live the only thing that comes close were the Queen shows I saw in the 80's
  • @sandyegun3780
There concerts are amazing! The whole crowd sings along and participates. Their sound is so huge. Floor is always spot-on. The whole band totally enjoys playing live. You can definitely feel their joy!

Nice to see you reacting to Nightwish again Josh. I really appreciate your background work on the lyrics. Tuomas has hidden small melody bits inside the song which describe the history and development of music. I’ve tried to put together all the bits that many commentators have said the song contains (don’t know if everything is true): African tribal drumming, a medieval hymn (presumably by Thomas of Celano): "Dies irae", Johan Sebastian Bach (Christian Petzold): "Minuet in G major and Toccata & Fugue in D minor", Arthur 'Guitar Boogie' Smith: "Duelling Banjos" (famous from the 1972 film Deliverance), Metallica: "Enter Sandman", the bassline from Nightwish: "Wish I Had An Angel" and Megadeth: "Symphony of Destruction". There's also a rap song at the end and an EDM beat and Mozart somewhere and the intro has (heh, I heard everything has) apparently some Johann Pachelbel at the core.
  • Thank you for reacting to this epic song. Jukka isn't drumming, he left in 2015 due to health, was replaced by his mentor, and former Wintersum member, Kai Hahto...one of the greatest technicians of a generation! On behalf of Nightwish Army, Palm Springs, CA, thank you for not minding not making money off of this band. That's the Nightwish spirit!
  • @rickphil9999
Wow. I loved your reaction throughout. Nightwish is actually performing a shortened version of this classic song on their current world tour in 2022. Carol, my wife, and I had the joy of seeing them live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on May 18th. What a wonderful show. ARTE CONCERTS uploaded the entire Nightwish concert at Hellfest 2022. More than 2.1 million people have viewed that video in just over 2 months. A great sunset performance before another huge festival crowd in France. Thank you for continuing the Nightwish reactions.
  • Nightwish are just amazing you should see the live @Tampere version of this with the fireworks
