Sumur is a quiet, peaceful place with about 180 houses and population of about 700 people. The village of Sumur, Nubra valley is located at an altitude of around 10,200 ft above sea-level.

In this video we planned to travel from Sumur to Pangong Lake which was about at a distance of 160 km but there was a cloudburst in the Nubra valley region due to which we changed our destination to Leh.

Police was not allowing people to go to Pangong, so we had to divert our route towards Leh

Date of video shoot: 21st July 2023.

Below are the activities / key destinations we visited during the journey.

We started our day from Goba House inn, Hunder Nubra Valley,
Tariff - Rs 2000 for double Occupancy with Breakfast and Dinner.

T-Morh starting point of Nubra Valley. T-Morh divides Nubra valley in two different sides.

One side covers the Sumar, Panamik and Siachen Camp Base region and another covers the Hunder, Turtuk and Thang Village which is the last village of India.

Here we saw many tourists heading back to Leh due to roads blocked by flood.

We reach South Pullu which is at a height of 15,300 ft. South Pullu is the second checkpoint to enter Khardung La and Nubra Valley. After South Pullu, the next checkpoint is North Pullu.
We had snacks here.

Laddakh is looking very tough to visit and unplanned situations. Local people's support is a must. Journey with family and children is to be done whenever climate is calm.
