  • My son spent a year going to college in Taiwan and he loved it. I was fun to see the sights he experienced while he was there.

I spent four days in Taipei in mid-March and thoroughly enjoyed it as it was a layover stop on my way back from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I missed the earthquake by just over two weeks, and am glad that the apparent damage in the city was minimal. Nice footage and commentary on this city. It was fun to see many of the same places I'd visited as well. I found the people to be quite friendly, and it is not overrun by Westerners and Americans as so many places are. In fact, I could walk for several hours on busy streets and not see a fellow Westerner. I would definitely go back again, and next time would try to get out of Taipei to explore more of the country if possible.

☕️ 🍦 🍜 🇹🇼 wonderful video! Coffee is critical! Agreed! What a cute moment your husband saying "very pretty" for you 😊 & the ice cream you got! That was so cute. Everything looked so clean & neat. The dumplings looked amazing at the restaurants you went to. All the places you went to seem so interesting. Thank you again for all this great information.

If you guys are still there, check with the locals on what to do in an earthquake. That region seems active this period. Stay safe guys!

One very fun thing to do in Taipei (and in all of the major cities in Taiwan) is to explore the alleyways. Taiwan is very safe in terms of security, so alleyway exploring is recommended for anyone who seeks a little bit of adventure or surprise.

I love how you crack each other up and can laugh at ourselves. It makes the video relatable. Thank you.

How nice the VLOG you made👍 Glad of you both to experience fun and rich Taipei, and scary earthquake😅 Taiwan open arms and welcome you❤
  • Great video guys! Looking forward to our Taipei visit later in the year. We’re actually in Turin, Italy right now which we booked after your recommendations and loving it! Been here 8 nights and heading to Genoa the day after tomorrow.

Thank God for the Taipei Metro system. It makes traveling around the city a breeze and it's an absolutely world-class system in every way. I also appreciate the easy availability of pre-cooked meals for sale in convenience stores, microwaved by the efficient store staff for those who need a balanced meal without spending time in a restaurant.

loving your videos and wishing you lots of success. In the beginning when you said they have the stair blockers due to tsunamis, I believe you meant to say cyclones
  • This is great! I love a coffee shop you can work from so I'm excited to explore some of them!

Taiwanese temples are considered public areas so don't require removal of footware even though many of them are privately owned. Some even provide lodging for travelers.
  • 13:06 Very cool. Thank for showing the Skyline and the 2-28. Wow you saw alot Liberty Square wow 😮 And the list goes on and on...🌞👍 Not bad on the food costs. Did I miss the total for the mon
