Lyrics below:
Well I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of dust
Which we've known
Will blow away with this new sun
But I'll kneel down
Wait for now
And I'll kneel down
Know my ground
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
So break my step
And relent
You forgave and I won't forget
Know what we've seen
And him with less
Now in some way
Shake the excess
'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
Now I'll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So take my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind free from the lies
And I'll kneel down
Wait for now
I'll kneel down
Know my ground, woo
Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow
'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

  • I put this here in hope that after weeks, months, years , whenever someone likes it I will be reminded of this song.
  • To my wife who passed at age 36. We will meet again. I see her in my dreams every now and then. She's just standing off in the distance and we lock eyes and she smiles. Then she's gone
  • I didn't know anything about Mumford & Sons music. I'm here because of Winston Marshall's excellent oratory skills. But staying because their music's great!

The Love of my life passed at age 45 from cancer, and I swear I want no other woman then her. I know I will see her again in Gods Kingdom along with our 5 children that survived her. Love you April, when I meant forever I meant it. Miss you every day until then.-John
  • This was my mom’s favorite song, she showed it to me when I was only 4 years old and i don’t think she knew how much I would grow to love this song, she is one of the best moms in the world sadly she became very sick when I was only 7 years old and sadly she died November 5th 2020 and I’m only 13, she was an incredible person and I dedicate this song to her I love you mommy

“You forgave, and I won’t forget” is a pretty powerful line

Such an underrated band. They play so hard and the notes and lyrics are pure and natural. The kind that penetrate the heart.
  • @Chameleon1616
The only single issue with watching this on video is that you know it's already happened and that you weren't there.

As an Iraqi American, this kind of music makes my heart happy..Happier than rap, Arabic music, or pop. This stuff is rare. It touches the soul.

When I hear this song, it feels as if my Mom isn't really dead, as if we're listening together. And, of course, she isn't really gone. She lives on in me, in my siblings, in my children and theirs. She lives on in the clouds, the moon, and in every leaf that catches a breeze. Powerful song.
