Debby spins up more tornadoes, moves into North Carolina and Virginia: MAJOR flooding reported

Isle of Palms, S.C. is reportedly back to normal operations Thursday, after sustaining flooding and damages from Tropical Storm Debby.

The island is back to operating at OPCON 3 and preliminary damage assessments have been completed as of Aug. 8.

A portion of Bohicket Road on Johns Island is blocked due to an extremely large fallen tree.

St Johns Fire District reported to the scene however the tree and debris blocking the road is larger than the fire units can handle.The issue has been elevated to the attention of SCDOT.

The Fire District asks that drivers please avoid the area and use Edenvale Road and River Roadas an alternative path.
