Tropical storm Debby to move over Atlantic Ocean, could grow before heading back to South Carolina

Published 2024-08-06
Several businesses were ripped apart from the storm, with the Moncks Corner Arby's restaurant hit the hardest, as strong winds blew out the windows.
The National Weather Service in Charleston, South Carolina posted early Tuesday afternoon that the City of Charleston is reporting 60 city roads are closed due to flooding and that all primary access points to the peninsula were closed to incoming traffic.

The latest News 13 Skywatch forecast shows that Tropical Storm Debby will slowly move over the Atlantic Ocean through the day Tuesday. This will likely help strengthen the system once again before making another landfall somewhere along the coast in South Carolina.
