Two years after making a 1.16 AA TAS, I return to attempt a faster TAS. With 5 major version updates and 42 new advancements, I sought to answer the question: is it possible to do them all in one hour?

The theoretically optimal time for speedrunning every Minecraft 1.21 advancement is 1:00:00.05. Phantoms, which are essential to 2 advancements, only spawn after exactly 1 hour of playtime. This TAS demonstrates an all advancements run finishing in exactly 1:00:00.05, making it unbeatable.

This is a TAS, meaning I performed the run in slow motion in many segments, spliced together and sped up to form one run. However, in the AASSG category, glitches are not allowed, meaning this run does not use exploits/duping. Most RNG is altered by using mods / datapacks, but this excludes mob/vault drops as these are seed-dependant in 1.20+.

Special thanks:
Colin_Henry for providing a list of 230 trillion fastion ship seeds for filtering. After filtering every single seed, this was the best one that I found.

Imagine being that dolphin, just minding your business until a winged god torpedoes directly at you, lassos you, and drags you at supersonic speed out of the water into a massive cave, through a portal into hell itself and back out, only to deposit you in a strange fountain to use your magic powers as part of a ridiculously arcane ritual for a purpose several levels beyond your understanding
  • Me: Don’t worry, i’ll be on in an hour, you can start the world. My friend:

Entering a nether portal with a boat looks so silly but I love that it's actually a time saver.

19:02 Holy not only did he kill the Ghast through the Portal but he ALSO HIT THE FIREBALL BACK WITH IT

"Hey I just got an enchanting table where are you?" "I'm busy building my How did we get here set up."

All Achievements/All Advancements is still my favourite category and back when I made runs, the glitchless stuff was supposed to be a meme, "Nobody will do that anyway". And yet here we are, cool looking strats, swag moments and even creating your own tools for it, truly one of the most entertaining TASes I have seen by far!

the chunck loader, uneasy alliance, arbalistic, there was so much going on, that was crazy, I loved it. Thank you for all your work
  • @Couriway
Unbelievable video! So fun to watch you could very easily tell how much it meant to you
  • @SemiHypercube
Interesting coincidence that the 2 mobs that limited how fast the speedrun can be (phantoms and sniffers) were both from mob votes This was very fun to watch, I love when you can barely tell what's even happening because so much is being done at the same time

Shooting an arrow through the portal to get return to sender was actually an insane play

5:06 blasting fictional spheres up to insane speeds 11:25 ungodly river extermination 18:58 interdimensional flying jellyfish bullying 19:32 sophisticated projectile launching to accumulate metric tons of style score 40:45 falsely plummet to the void to fall between the limits of altitude 41:11 disable a massive black reptile using kinetic based weaponry immediately after inspecting it through a magnifying lens 42:33 send an unsuspecting salesman into the sky 43:08 use the concept of levers to drag a timebomb towards your enemies who have recently materialized into existence 43:20 summon an undead monster via an explosive ritual which also purposefully demolishes your recently materialized foes 43:33 and afterwards, once again use kinetic based weaponry to deal a fatal blow to a black monstrous creature 47:48 offend a blind ancient being and lead it towards your land using an interdimensional bridge being constructed at the same instance 49:18 incredibly dedicated aquatic mammal harassment and kidnapping 1:00:29 shoot a projectile into the heart of an explosion, straightening its trajectory and massively boosting its velocity to kill two still-manifesting undead birds, finally the day is over and we can all go sleep :)

This is so Incredible. A true testament to Speedrunning, TAS and the game in general. I somehow truly enjoyed every bit of this video. There were so many moments i audibly gasped at the sheer genius and impressiveness possible with TAS. The Editing is also really great in the video, the music is spot on and the segment with extra info is really cool as well. I can really tell how much this game, community and run mean to you. Thank you for this... Truly awe-inspiring....
  • ive always enjoyed TAS runs more than real speedruns because of just the sheer awe they put me in. all the crazy strats, absurd movement optimizations, all constructed from months of work. like the crazy elytra flicks to keep the lead in tact, the nutty arbalistic setup, the tnt pearl cannon in the end to get to the ship faster. all the small things too that just add up to be such a beautiful display of pure unfiltered speed. tldr; this is so hot

my favorite thing about this TAS specifically, like compared to every other TAS i've seen, is that this one innately shows the human effort put into creating one of these things- like for other simpler games it can look so flawless that it just looks like a robot's playing the game (even though that's not the case) and it can make it easy to forget that the TAS is a creation a human person made- but with this, there's very human-like behavior behind a lot of the movements, mostly through the way the camera moves, it's very smooth and flowing, like people normally play minecraft- if i didn't know what a TAS was, i'd probably guess that this was some superhuman that already knows everything about the run playing-, with perfect reaction times, infinite knowledge, and a will to push the game to its absolute limit, which honestly is much closer to what a TAS is in the first place than "oh it's just a computer playing it"
  • @Marldori
Love the part where the music syncs with the location, like when creator's chorus plays right as you enter the trial chamber and pigstep plays when you're in a long nether trip

I love the information notifications, not only do they not distract from the gameplay but they also help inform the newbies on what this is. not to mention it’s edited very well too
