With Curse City, I am basically holding onto all Epics, no matter what the rating is because you never know if they will be needed

Like my mental health, I forget that champion ratings exist….

Ash, I have a possibly surprise team you might like to make a video on. I did Dark Fae for the first time using a team of 6 stars with masteries. Deacon Armstrong, Kael, Spirithost, Diabolist, Warmaiden. It took a while to get that a set of middling champions that had great synergy were one strategy available to everyone. I was careful in the 2nd wave to ensure finishing off with A1s to ensure the necessary abilities were ready to take out the mirror team with the usual Diabolist positive charge --> Spirithost strengthen --> Warmaiden crumbling blast --> Keal acid rain. Kael was then nicked of course, but that was OK as the others together can take out any single champion in the team.

Thank you for the video, Ash! I could not agree with you more with regards to this because if i had followed the ratings instead of looking at each individual non-S / SSS tier champion, i would not have levelled and developed Lonathariel over a year ago. He has been a staple in Arena and various other places. My own personal advice for fellow players is to look at each Champions abilities and see if they fit their needs. Right now, i am looking to build and develop Queen Eva, despite her ratings, because i need a Block Revival Champion for Ice Golem Hard.

What also doesn't help is where you are in the game a bad unit in end game could be the unit you need to push forward depending on your account
  • Again, nice video. It is always a little highlight to watch your videos - your cheerfulness brightens me up every time. Thank you for that and for being a constant (and that goes for Raid as well as WoR). The following does not directly apply to you, but should be mentioned to make players aware. There is something you need to be aware of when talking about this topic; that is, sides such as HH or AyumiLove are not good sources and are rather misleading. As an example (without further details, as they can be looked up by everyone), look at the ratings of Tallia. Comparing the just-mentioned sites to in-game reviews, she is much better than HH or Ayumi give her credit for, and that is reflected in the game reviews. Similarly with Noct - he is a 5* champion (the strongest carry from early to the end; he will solo everywhere where poison can be applied, apart from Spider and Fire Knight), yet he only gets 4* or A-tier ratings on those "tier lists". The content creators are mostly biased and don't give those champions a proper, objective chance (almost like "I already have someone who can do this..."). That is not the point and should not be a factor unless the alternative is a free champion everyone can get (not like Ramantu or other Lydia). It takes a lot of luck and dedication to get those two, as Faction Wars are hard and the Ramantu Missions become close to impossible for most players as soon as 3v3 Arena missions come into play (cf. reaching Gold II). PS: A little side note on Watcher of Realms, Nyx is S-Tier and I do not understand why she is being underrated by so many content creators (even you put her as B-tier). I got her alongside Salazar on day 1 of playing WoR, and thanks to those two (mainly Nyx), I was able to get Volka in 19 days without any issues or difficulties, and I do not even have her awakened. Again, I am just defending my favorites and most-used Champions/Heroes in the games and want to make people aware of the bias that content creators seem to have towards a lot of those Champions/Heroes. I do not want to come off as rude; therefore, I am apologizing if this comment comes off as too direct - that would not have been my intention."

On Warchief...yes he is great for Magma Dragon, but I also find him very useful in Doom Tower whenever you have to deal with Mortu Macaab, even with the negative affinity match-up.
  • @cgsweat
The same can be said for champions that are rated way too high, because they were great when they first came out and have since been power crept over the last 5 years. The ratings system is just so outdated...
  • @Sodamachine62
THANK YOU ive been saying for years they need to reset the views when they buff a champ
  • @Davoerlo
Warchief was my first leggo I pulled. Way before the tower or city but he just tanks his way through so much. Did some heavy haulage early on in my account
  • @lts_revenant
Best start of an Ash video ever lol. Love the self motivation.
  • I just pulled a third Holsring. Please tell me how awesome that is! (What do I do?)
  • @ericpeirce5598
I actually use my Holsring as my hexer on my third Hydra Team along with Duchess for more veil. I even had a surprise in my Raid video saying that my Holsring had the highest resist of any Holsring in Raid. He's a little over 480 Resist at the moment, not counting Area Bonuses.
