It's also very good to see Richard there in the podium with Colin and Carlos. That was a great era for Subaru.
  • @nathanpocock
I waited 20 years to be able to buy my Subaru in commemoration of this era and that car.

Wow. What a well-told tale! A small Japanese car company, then at a crossroads financially, a possible first-ever British WRC Champion, and a title fight with a beloved world-class teammate. ... All this at the final rally of the year in GB. Here in the states, pre-internet, we had to be crafty and patient getting ANY sort of WRC news. Thank you guys for covering this history 25 years on!

I had graduated High School in 2004 but i remember watching WRC on Speed Channel in USA back in the early 2000's. My favorite Colin McRae memory was during his in the Peugeot days. When he had spun a 360 donut mid tight hairpin corner in front of the giant crowd gathered and they absolutely went wild for the feat of rally car mastery. What an absolute legend! The good die young. R.I.P. Colin and the McRae family!
  • After 27 years, I bought the dream and it truly lives up to it, even though I've had to spend a lot on it, it's been sensational.

Colin is my childhood hero. When following him his wrc career. Always wanted to get an impreza because of him. When I was 18 I bought my first impreza and at 21 build my own impreza widebody coupe. Getting as close as I can get in being a tiny bit Colin.

6:40 They are wet, covered in mud, and probably cold. But you KNOW they were standing in a good spot to watch the rally.

Colin McRae is without one of bests driver in wrc history His flat out was outstanding, his crashes were ridiculously incredible and his skill was uncanny He raced against some of the wrc heavy weights such as Juha Kankkunen, Marcus Gronholm, Tommi Makinen, the late Richard Burns, Sebastian Loab, Peter Solberg and of corse el matador himself Carlos Sainz and Colin beat them all F1s greatest and also the greatest of all time is Michael Schumacher MotoGPs greatest and also the greatest motorcycle rider is Valentino Rossi And the WRCs greatest and the greatest rally driver is Sebastian Loeb but Colin McRae comes close That's how highly I rate Colin because like the great Schumacher and Rossi Colin was a man who never gave up and would win in/on anytype of machine and also faced a huge amount of competition and beat them all RIP Colin

I don't think people realise how much balls and pure talent and trust In your own skill this takes . Literally one false move away from hitting a very firm tree at 100mph plus Doff my hat to you all
