The Beatles play their final show on the rooftop of Apple Records in London. David Bowie's single "Space Oddity" was a huge hit in the UK and coincided with America's moon landing. The Woodstock Music and Art Fair was held in Bethel, New York, and was attended by 500,000 people. Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones drowns. A man is stabbed to death at a free Rolling Stones concert at Altamont Speedway in California.

I graduated from High School in 1969...and these were the best songs and music...what a great time to be a teenager and then go to.Woodstock...and concerts every weekend...to see these grest bands in concert and dance and LOVE....I still listen to these songs and the music of the 60's and 70's..classic Rock is the Best Music Ever !! The best times to grow up...

I graduated in 73 and these were still playing times were great. I joined the army went to Germany for 3.5 years and it was fantastic came home and it seemed like the world started to fall apart

I was born in 1955 so in 1964 The Beatles came on and then the Rolling Stones then the who and who knows else but they were all great

I was in Nam in1969 3/7 loved it and the music. I still listen to all music from the 1960's and 70's classic rock is my favorite.
