Gospel community 'shaken' after members of The Nelons die in plane crash

As a singer myself, Amber Kelly’s daughter became my favorite female vocalist in the world when I was about 13. In our 20s, we became good friends. Kelly and Jason went out of their way when I was a young teenager to be really, really kind and supportive and encouraging to me. Her brother Todd just did roof repair work for me. Literally checking on me every day and sometimes driving two hours each way multiple times a week, a couple of times just for like three minutes worth of work to chalk up the roof for the adjuster, for example, and never stopping until I had a brand new roof. Finances were extremely difficult at that point and he made it very clear that we would figure it out even if the adjuster said no. That’s the kind of people they were and that they are.

So sad. They performed at our little church several times .😢 they will be surly missed.
