If you read the books, Shonda has made them wayyyyy better. I love the Bridgerton books, but damn, the occasional misogyny in the books was sooo tiring and Shonda made the dialoguessss way more swoooon worthy.

I didn't think and could not see that Shonda could top the romantic brio and phenomenal following she achieved with the first two Bridgerton seasons. But she has. Before this Queen Charlotte, Shonda was "merely" a genius screenwriter, producer. But with this? She's now the cinéma poet laureate of love in a multihued world that always was, but now can speak and be that Truth. Queen Charlotte is this world's poem.
