You should set up a PO Box for people that have broken stuff that are willing to donate to you so you could show us how to fix more common problems like how you are. I know people will say it's not the cleanest how to fix things, but you're showing people that it's possible. Even if you did everything a hundred percent by the books you'll always get that crowd of people saying you should have done it the other way. I thought you would have tried the copper pins at the bottom where it’s slots to see if it’s dirt or corrosion first with some cleaner to see if it’s that problem before reflowing the chip pins.
