My notes on Chandler’s guide on how to write the first draft of your book: 1. Mind map. Brain dump everything you can think of on a blank sheet of paper (15-45mins) 2. Create an outline by grouping ideas into 5 sections and ordering. Drill into each section, 3 chapters per section 3. Write book by repeating process per chapter. 10 mins - mindmapping everything you can think of, 10 mins - mindmap to outline, 45-90 mins - writing chapter. If you speak better than you write, speak your chapter out loud (10 mins) and transcribe. (Hope this serves as a reminder for when you take the challenge!)

"The best way you can serve humanity is to write a book." WOW! I've never thought of it that way. Thank you! This makes my goal even more important.
  • For anyone reading this, you’ll be a bestseller one day and you have so much to share to the world :). Thank you so much Chandler for this poignant story and very easy useful tips about writing books. I have three weeks and six ideas for books. Challenge accepted 😉 📚! Thank you for sharing this. Hi from France 🇫🇷

Thanks to Chandler Bolt I am currently writing the rough draft to my very first book. I'm dedicating this book to the memory of my daughter Alexa, her mother Nichol, and little sister London who were all found dead earlier this year. This book has allowed me to process through my grief and will help parents to create memorable moments worth their children that will last a lifetime.

I have procrastinated for years on writing my book. The task seems so overwhelming but after watching this video I think I can do it. Here I go! Prayers appreciated.
  • Sooooo excited for this talk to be live! I'd love to hear your thoughts / feedback. Comment below or in this thread. I'll be reading and responding to every comment :) P.S. are you taking the 24 Hour Book Outline Challenge?
  • Because of Chandler Bolt/Self Publishing School, I've already published 3 books since the time I enrolled in 2017 and my books have become Amazon bestsellers too. I'm working on my 4th...His mission keeps on changing peoples lives, my life and I'm changing people's lives too....Proud of you Chandler!!!

Three things stood out to me as I listened to This talk: 1) how Chandler Bolt’s friend’s death from a freak accident on a cruise changed the trajectory of Chandler’s life, 2) how an 8-year old girl’s life became more meaningful because she saw her dad write a book, 3) that Chandler Bolt is the real deal who is inspiring thousands of people like me to follow through on goals that had been set aside. Thank you, Chandler, for sharing part of your story!

I am sure that Kendall is proud to have you living out his dream and helping others achieve their dreams. You are amazing!
  • @CathyRichards
Love this talk, Chandler! Following your principles, I was able to launch my book a few weeks ago with almost 3000 downloads the first week! Like you said, the goal of any author - or aspiring author - is to change lives. Thanks to you, I know I’m doing that and it feels great!!

Excellent "write your book" message, Chandler! I'm a graduate of your Self-Publishing School which helped me get from a book outline sitting in my laptop to a book self-published on Amazon that continues to be a best-seller after 2 1/2 years and has sold more than 50,000 copies! Lives touched and changed! Thank you!
  • "Now I'm living for two." I felt that. Wow - very simple and doable process. I agree - everyone has a book in them. You're giving people the key to getting their message out and making a difference. Nice legacy!

"You are going to have to get started before you are ready." I think this is how life REALLY works, but fear leads us to the false understanding that we will be ready ahead of time.
  • "There is only a handful of things that really matter." That is such a great line. I love that you are helping people focus on what matters by sharing their message. Great talk!
  • True story - I used the methods taught in this talk (along with a bunch of resources from Self Publishing School) to self-publish my book in 2018. In 2019 I hosted 2 live events based on the concepts I taught in my self-published book... all thanks to Chandler. So, thank you for helping normal guys like me get our message out into the world and make a difference.
  • Books do matter. They allow us to share our message on and on and on. What a blessing to learn how to make that dream a reality. Thank you, Chandler, for sharing from the lessons you've learned and using that to help others.
  • Awesome talk! Writing a book not only changes your life but your message can change the life's of others! Great Talk Chandler Loved It!

I've already published my first book thanks to Chandler and his team at SPS! This man knows his stuff ☀️

Thank you Chandler for teaching others how to serve humanity. The world needs more servant-minded people; sharing our ideas and experiences via the printed word is one way to serve others. I am a student of SPS - the program is a step by step process from ideation to publication. We can be the change in the world - one book at a time!

Chandler that was awesome! After spending years trying to figure out where my passion and gifts line up, I stumbled on Self Publishing School. I started my first book in March, 2019 and I am currently working on book 2 of 5 and plan to have it published early December. I never would have accomplished this without the motivation and expertise of the entire SPS community. I love your passion and your purpose. Your "why" as you call it. I truly feel that I am living out the purpose that God has given me through my books. Thank you!
