Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Brindisi Airport in Italy's Apulia region on Friday to attend the ongoing 50th G7 Summit. This marks PM Modi's first foreign trip since being sworn in for a third term.
At least 49 people, mostly Indians, were killed in Kuwait after a massive fire engulfed a multi-storey building housing foreign workers on Wednesday. More than 50 people were also injured in the incident. Most deaths were due to smoke inhalation while residents were sleeping, and a significant number of occupants were evacuated, they added. The fire started in a kitchen in the six-storey building in the Mangaf area in Kuwait's southern Ahmadi Governorate, officials said, adding that the building reportedly had 195 people living in it, who are workers of the same company.
