A Black American expresses his desire to keep the Confederate Flag and enjoy it hanging in a window. And that is his right to do so.
www.battleflagwichita.com - A standalone website trying to tell it like it is... THE TRUTH, using facts.
Our goal is to restore the CONFDEDERATE BATTLE FLAG to its rightful place in the Open Air Flag Museum in Veterans Memorial Park, Wichita, KS. The Confederate Battle Flag flew on a flag pole there for over forty years without one complainant. This is a MUSEUM! What is next… the Public Library? Will the government start removing all the history book pages that show a picture of the CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG because a child or someone else might be offended?
The Confederate Battle Flag was only used in combat from 1861 to 1865.
Slavery came to an end in America in 1865.
What flag flew over slavery in America from 1619 to 1865?

Fun fact: You have a right to be offended, but he also has the right to offend you.

Never before have I understood every word that has been spoken to me, understood the context of the situation, and the gravity of what is said, and still be confused as I am today.

It’s really quite simple: “offensive” does not “limit” the First Amendment.

"I am not black, nor do I consider myself to be black. Many people mistake me for being Negro because they don’t know that I am currently living with the heartbreak of revitiligo. That’s a skin condition that’s the opposite of what Michael Jackson’s got. Every morning I apply this topical ointment made of bleach and sulfur. I like to think it works. Luckily, I haven’t gotten much darker in the last few years." - Uncle Ruckus (No relation)

The only thing that flag reminds me of is “The Dukes Of Hazard”.

Being from Mississippi, I find this kinda weird. I myself only fly the stars and stripes because I'm American . But if this young man wants to display the stars and bars, let him. It's his right, even if it defies convention.
