  • I listened to this while taking a two hour walk in Ecuador. I just wanted to say this was truly one of the best and inspiring talks. Thanks for sitting “in the mud” with me.

This truly resonated with me ~ I was just released from my job and it was very humbling. This helped me to not only to be accountable for my own actions, but also accept my role/responsibility for creating my own happiness in work and in life. Truly grateful 🙏

22:27 I never understood why my ex used to say "I don't want solutions." When she would tell me about whatever until now. She was looking for friendship, the problem is we weren't very good friends.
  • I am a bit confuse with what he said about the first part when he was talking about the bagel. He skipped the line to get the bagels, not one but two. In his teaching he said we don’t always have to follow the rules but just as long as we don’t stop someone else (not his exact words but I’m trying to paraphrase) what if the last person in line that waited all this time doesn’t get any because he skipped the line, isn’t that getting in someone else’s way? Hindering someone else’s progress?
  • Simon's lesson about practicing empathy and understanding others' perspectives is a game-changer. This video is a must-watch for anyone looking to become a better leader. Thank you for these valuable insights

5:26 that is true. My nephew made it through; he was skinny and I am that aunt who wanted to cover him in cottonwool… but he was that person who looked out for the one on the left and right. Today he is a proud Navy Seal. And he told me: “Family and friends should be taught what the Navy Seals are taught… then we’d be a stronger unit.”
  • Very important to prioritize the important stuff! A great read, in my opinion, is "Doing What Matters: The Power of Purposeful Productivity"
  • To everyone focusing on the “skipping of the line for the free bagel”, you’re proving the very point of the story. The focus is on the negative of the story and you’re having difficulties seeing anything but that. Take a moment and readjust your perspective. Listen a few more times and really grasp the point of that story. I’ve got faith in some of you 🥂
  • This video is incredibly inspiring! Simon Sinek's rule about asking for help and being vulnerable really hit home. It's a powerful reminder that we don't have to do everything alone. Thanks for sharing such profound wisdom!"
  • I loved this video! The story about the SEALs was especially impactful. It taught me that true strength comes from within, not from external appearances. Being genuine and humble is key to real success
  • @arigutman
Exceptional. Nothing more to be said... Simon Senek is a genius.
  • In 2024,don't set new year financial goals without consulting a financial adviser.there expertise ensure a solid plan for success.Building wealth involves developing good habits like regular putting money away in intervals for solid investments.
  • Fantastic content! The anecdote about the foam cup was a great reminder that the respect and privileges we receive are tied to our position, not our person. Staying humble and grounded is so important.

  • Believe me when I say this regarding your bagels story. I’ve running hundreds of marathons and 8 Ironmans and training endless hours. He was a self centered ass for grabbing bagels out of line and everyone there thought so. 😂 Just being real.

It was Dr. Ignac Semmelweiss, not Dr. Holmes who made this discovery. The discovery and the resistance he met drew him mad.

re: the bagels. The philosopher Kant, while often flawed, presented a moral argument that would be very applicable here. Kant introduced a thing called the Categorical Imperative, which loosely says that a thing passes a test of ethics, if everyone were to do it. So, imagine if everyone stepped up and reached through a line of people to get themselves a bagel instead of waiting their turn in an orderly way! Chaos. Simon has good words, usually. However, his illustration of the bagel story is NOT his best advice.

As a 60 years old man who broke each and everyone of these rules, I can tell that they are true. Advice for the young: do not be fooled by anything else. Follow these rules by the letter. If it means losing somebody, so be it. They were not worthy.

Jumping the queue to get a free bagel. This tells you all about this person you need to know.
