I actually saw the bishop takes pawn move in the video, but I find there's a big difference between seeing it when someone else is playing the game and finding it when I'm the one moving the pieces.. 😆

Somewhere in the back of my mind I was asking myself..."is this the game Eric loses?" Then, as usual, you pulled it out. Well fought game on both sides. Do you ever reach out to your opponents to congratluate them? This guy definitely deserves some respect for hanging with you for so long.

Fantastic game. Very close call! Black to hold off taking the pawn with rook or bishop by the end there is truly one of those moves only a computer could see.

The e6 pawn sacrifice in the first game is reminiscent of the tal variation of the caro kann. Have gotten several quick checkmates on unsuspecting opponents who play knight d7 when my queen is lined up on the kings weakened diagonal

I saw that Bishop tactic. As I am a 1100 myself, I thought I was missing some counterplay because you didnt play it. You cant even imagine how proud I was when the engine agreed with me lol 😂

Love these videos! I really appreciate how you take time to explain a variety of possible moves that would be fine to play. I've learned a lot and hope you eventually do another speedrun starting back from the low elos again haha

i was so proud i saw Bxd5 at that moment and it was actually the best move :D but i wasn't commentating the whole game so yeah... - still feel good about it
